Alaska Car Shipping Services

United's team of highly qualified drivers deliver both open and enclosed car shipping services to and from the great state of Alaska.

The most popular questions customers have when researching the best auto transport company in Alaska are largely about about the cost and how it’s done. I’m going to answer those questions right now.

How Much Does It Cost to Ship My Car To or From Alaska?

The typical price to ship a vehicle within the United States will be dependent on the type of trailer you favor open or enclosed, how far it's going, and your pick up and delivery preferences. It costs around $2.50 per mile to ship a vehicle less than 200 miles, but costs around 75 cents a mile to ship a standard automobile 1,000 miles or more.

Some of the factors to consider are:

• the distance the vehicle must go
• the most acceptable time to pickup and deliver your car
• national cost for fuel
• current demand for transporters

About Your Quote

The quote you get from us will always include all costs required to transport your auto. Some car carrier companies will tell you a low price just to get an autograph on a contract only to raise the price later, or worse, when it’s being picked up.

Our bids are all-inclusive and only change if you make changes that affect the cost. Internet quote forms can only guesstimate your actual transport costs so it’s always best to speak directly to the car shipping company yourself.

Open and Enclosed Carrier Transport

There are several types of shipping carriers that move our client's vehicles to and from Alaska. We offer both open and enclosed transporters to serve the many needs of our customers. Below you’ll find a detailed list of the benefits of each.

Open Transports

Open vehicle transport simply means shipping your vehicle on a truck that doesn’t provide any enclosure to protect it from everyday environmental elements. This is the way most cars are delivered to dealerships. It is also the most common type of transporter on the road and a practical way to ship your car.

There are more open carriers operating on the road than any other type of transporter so that makes open transport the least expensive way to move your car. This also means we have more open carriers traveling through Alaska at any given time so pickup times are often more flexible.

Enclosed Auto Transporters

Moving your auto in an enclosed carrier will give you the ultimate confidence. As the name suggests, enclosed auto transporters provide the greatest level of protection from weather, elements, rocks or any other threat.

As a bonus, enclosed auto carriers often have more experience with high end vehicles. The most common cars transported in an enclosed carrier are antique, collectible or classic cars and motorcycles. They also transport:

• autos from auto auctions
• vintage race cars
• auto show transport
• exotic vehicle show transport
• antique and classic vehicles (like I mentioned above)

The cost of shipping a car on an enclosed carrier is more because there are less enclosed trucks on the road and they can not transport as many cars on their truck as an open carrier can.

Motorcycle Shipping From or To Alaska

Motorcycle Shipping by UnitedWe do also offer bike and motorcycle shipping across the nation and internationally. We also ship dirt bikes and ATVs door-to-door to almost any destination worldwide. Normally motorcycles are transported in an enclosed transporter.

So request a quote now! Our team is ready to answer any questions you have and help you move your vehicle to or from Alaska.

No Deposit Required

Some competitors will require a deposit prior to your car being picked up. We do not. We work hard to arrange your transport and don’t request payment until your transporter is on their way. This ensures you are only charged the amount you agreed upon and no slick tricks because we stick to the quote we give you to transport your car.

No matter what you require to move your automobile to/from Alaska, UNITED's auto transport team will provide you with great customer service, and safe, reliable auto transport services no matter where we deliver for you.

Don't make the same mistake that i did...

I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!

I work at a car dealer in town and we have been using United for quite some time. Over the years we have tried many companies and have been burned over and over. These guys aren’t perfect, but they communicate very well and keep us up to date when issues arise.
I have had them deliver many cars to my customer’s and they always have good things to say about this company. I enjoy working with them and I recommend them to other dealers, friends and family. You can’t go wrong when hiring a company like United to ship your vehicles!

Alaska (/əˈlæskə/ (listen); Aleut: Alax̂sxax̂; Inupiaq: Alaasikaq; Alutiiq: Alas'kaaq; Tlingit: Anáaski; Russian: Аляска, translit. Alyaska) is a U.S. state in the northwest extremity of North America, just across the Bering Strait from Asia. The Canadian province of British Columbia and territory of Yukon border the state to the east and southeast. Its most extreme western part is Attu Island, and it has a maritime border with Russia (Chukotka Autonomous Okrug) to the west across the Bering Strait. To the north are the Chukchi and Beaufort seas—southern parts of the Arctic Ocean. The Pacific Ocean lies to the south and southwest. It is the largest U.S. state by area and the seventh largest subnational division in the world. In addition, it is the 3rd least populous and the most sparsely populated of the 50 United States; nevertheless, it is by far the most populous territory located mostly north of the 60th parallel in North America: its population—estimated at 738,432 by the United States Census Bureau in 2015[4]— is more than quadruple the combined populations of Northern Canada and Greenland. Approximately half of Alaska's residents live within the Anchorage metropolitan area. Alaska's economy is dominated by the fishing, natural gas, and oil industries, resources which it has in abundance. Military bases and tourism are also a significant part of the economy.
