But for specific answers regarding transporting a automobile to or from Anchorage, Alaska, read on.
Our process to booking the delivery of your vehicle is very simple. It can be summed up into three parts.
1) PRELIMINARY STEPS TO AUTOMOBILE SHIPPING
What’s the process for transporting my vehicle from Anchorage, Alaska? Great question. The first step is to schedule your transport so your transport team can start planning the best move for your vehicle.
They do have to take into consideration the size, weight, height and type of truck you are needing, which most customarily are open and closed options.
We will need basic information about your shipment like the VIN number, year, make and model of each auto you are transporting. This tells us the details we need to properly place your vehicle on a transporter.
We will give you a free shipping quote that is all-inclusive of everything required to move your vehicle from origin to delivery. Our quotes are guaranteed and do not fluctuate for any reason unless there are changes made to your car transport.
2) AUTO PICK UP
The second step in the process is the pick up of your auto. In almost all cases, we do pick up at your location in Anchorage, Alaska and deliver to the final destination we were given when you booked your move.
The only things that we deal with when picking up from a specific location are local laws on driving a big rig into the area. If there are no issues regarding driving a truck then we pick up from the address you gave us when you scheduled your transport.
Once your transporter arrives, you will do a inspection of the automobile with the driver. You both will sign the Bill of Lading that specifies any existing chips, damage or dents. After you receive a copy of your Bill of Lading, they will load the vehicle, secure it and prepare it for transport from Anchorage, Alaska. Once it’s loaded on the carrier the driver will start their journey to the next destination.
Because a carrier moves more than on car at a time, he/she may have other pick ups and deliveries to make prior to your car reaching its final destination.
3) CAR DELIVERY
As the time nears for your auto to arrive, your transporter will call you. It is difficult for a driver to know exactly when they will arrive before they get closer to the drop off point because of the many influences that can slow their progress. This includes traffic, weather and federal guidelines regarding rest and how long transporters can actually be on the road.
Normally, you should be contacted by your transporter typically within the last 24 hours before your car is scheduled to arrive. Although we have made it clear to our drivers we prefer as much advance notice for our clients as possible, we do know sometimes they don’t know when they will get there until just a few hours before they get to their destination.
When the vehicle transporter arrives, you will repeat the same inspection that was completed when the vehicle was picked up. The driver will have a copy of the Bill of Lading for you to compare pre-existing damage marked during your pick up inspection. You’ll look over the car again to ensure everything is great and then sign the document. The driver will give you a copy for your records.
So shipping your auto to or from Anchorage, Alaska can be a fairly effortless process. We always strive to make sure to make the entire experience pleasant for every customer.

We found a great company
I work for a high-end car dealer and we have been using United for some time now. Every time we shipping a car we get quotes from a few different companies, but we always seem to come back to these guys. They always have a good price and we know that they are going to do a fantastic job. Over the years we have had some minor issues, but the great thing about these guys is that they communicate well and solve the problems. I defiantly recommend these guys for shipping your vehicles.
Don't make the same mistake that i did...
I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!
I booked, they picked up and delivered. Everything went smooth and i have noting but good things to say about this company.
Very happy with the service!

Pickup – everything went smooth and driver did a great job!
Delivery – driver called the day before and gave me a time and he showed up as he said he would.
