But for specific answers regarding moving a car to or from Bakersfield, California, read on.

Our process to booking the transport of your automobile is simple. It can be divided into 3 parts.

What’s the process for transporting my vehicle from Bakersfield, California? Great question. The first step is to book your transport so your dispatch team can start looking the most ideal transport for your car.

They do have to take into consideration the size, weight, height and type of transporter you are requesting, which primarily are open and closed carriers.

We will need general details about your car like the VIN number, year, make and model of each vehicle you are transporting. This tells us the information we need to properly place your vehicle on a carrier.

We will provide you a free transport quote that is all-inclusive of the entire expense required to move your car from pick up to the drop off point. Our quotes are guaranteed and do not increase for any reason unless there are changes made to your auto transport.

The 2nd step in the process is the pick up of the auto. In almost all cases, we will pick up at your location in Bakersfield, California and deliver to the specific destination provided when you booked your shipping.

The only issues that we run into when picking up from a specific location are local laws on driving a truck into the area. If there are no problems regarding driving a big rig then we pick up from the destination you gave us when you scheduled your transport.

Once your transporter arrives, you will do a walk around of the automobile with the driver. You both will sign the Bill of Lading that identifies any existing chips, damage or dents. After you receive a copy of your Bill of Lading, they will load the vehicle, secure it and prepare it for transport from Bakersfield, California. Once it’s loaded in the carrier the driver will start the journey to the next stop.

Because a carrier delivers more than on auto at a time, he/she may have multiple pick ups and drop offs to make prior to your car arriving at its final destination.

As the time nears for your auto to arrive, your carrier will contact you. It is difficult for a carrier to know exactly when they will arrive before they get closer to the drop off point because of the many variables that can slow their progress. This includes traffic, weather and federal guidelines regarding rest and how long drivers can actually be on the road.

Normally, you should be contacted by your driver typically within the last 24 hours before your car is scheduled to arrive. Although we have made it clear to our drivers we prefer as much advance notice for our customers as possible, we do know sometimes they don’t know when they will get there until just a few hours before they get to their destination.

When the car transporter arrives, you will repeat the same inspection that was done when the vehicle was picked up. The transporter will have a copy of the Bill of Lading for you to compare existing damage marked during your pick up inspection. You’ll look over the car again to ensure everything is great and then sign the document. The driver will give you a copy for your records.

So moving your car to or from Bakersfield, California can be a reasonably easy process. We always strive to make sure to make the entire process pleasant for every customer.

I work for a high-end car dealer and we have been using United for some time now. Every time we shipping a car we get quotes from a few different companies, but we always seem to come back to these guys. They always have a good price and we know that they are going to do a fantastic job. Over the years we have had some minor issues, but the great thing about these guys is that they communicate well and solve the problems. I defiantly recommend these guys for shipping your vehicles.

I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!
