But for specific answers regarding transporting a vehicle to or from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, read on.
Our procedure to scheduling the delivery of your vehicle is streamlined. It can be summed up into three parts.
1) PRELIMINARY STEPS TO AUTOMOBILE SHIPPING
What’s the process for transporting my vehicle from Baton Rouge, Louisiana? Great question. Our first step is to schedule your transport so your transport team can start planning the most ideal transport for your car.
They do have to take into consideration the size, weight, height and type of carrier you are scheduling, which primarily are open and closed options.
We will need basic information about your car like the VIN number, year, make and model of each car you are moving. This tells us the information we need to properly move your vehicle on a carrier.
We will provide you a free transport quote that includes everything required to ship your automobile from pick up to the drop off point. Our quotes are guaranteed and will not fluctuate for any reason unless there are changes made to your car transport.
2) AUTO PICK UP
The second step in the process is the pick up of the auto. In almost all cases, we do pick up at your location in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and deliver to the final destination provided when you booked your transport.
The most common things that we run into when picking up from a neighborhood are local limitations on getting a transporter into the area. If there are no regulations regarding driving a transporter then we pick up from the address you gave us when you booked your transport.
Once your transporter arrives, you will do a inspection of the automobile with the driver. You both will sign the Bill of Lading that identifies any existing chips, damage or dings. After you receive a copy of your Bill of Lading, they will load the vehicle, secure it and prepare it for transport from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Once it’s loaded in the truck the driver will start the journey to the next destination.
Because a driver delivers more than on auto at a time, he/she may have more pick ups and deliveries to make prior to your car arriving at its final destination.
3) AUTO DELIVERY
As the time nears for your car to arrive, your driver will call you. It is difficult for a carrier to know exactly when they will arrive before they get closer to the destination because of the many elements that can slow their progress. This includes traffic, weather and federal guidelines regarding rest and how long transporters can actually be on the road.
Normally, you should be contacted by your carrier typically within the last 24 hours before your vehicle is scheduled to arrive. Although we have made it clear to our drivers we prefer as much advance notice for our clients as possible, we do know sometimes they don’t know when they will arrive until just a few hours before they get to their destination.
When the auto carrier arrives, you will repeat the same inspection that was done when the car was picked up. The transporter will have a copy of the Bill of Lading for you to compare pre-existing damage identified during the pick up inspection. You’ll look over the car again to ensure the car looks good and then sign the document. The driver will give you a copy for your records.
So shipping your car to or from Baton Rouge, Louisiana can be a reasonably easy process. We always strive to make sure to make the entire experience pleasant for every customer.

Contacted Joe needed to transport my SUV from MD to ATL. We found a great company
I work for a high-end car dealer and we have been using United for some time now. Every time we shipping a car we get quotes from a few different companies, but we always seem to come back to these guys. They always have a good price and we know that they are going to do a fantastic job. Over the years we have had some minor issues, but the great thing about these guys is that they communicate well and solve the problems. I defiantly recommend these guys for shipping your vehicles.
Don't make the same mistake that i did...
I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!
I booked, they picked up and delivered. Everything went smooth and i have noting but good things to say about this company.
Very happy with the service!

Pickup – everything went smooth and driver did a great job!
Delivery – driver called the day before and gave me a time and he showed up as he said he would.
Totally recommend this company!
