California Car Shipping Services

United’s network of experienced auto carriers deliver both open and enclosed auto transport services to and from the great state of California.

The most popular questions people have when researching the best car shipping company in California most commonly about how much and how the car is moved. I’m going to answer those questions now.

How Much Does It Cost to Ship My Car To or From California?

The typical price to move a vehicle within the United States will depend on the kind of trailer you favor open or enclosed, how far it’s going, and your pick up and delivery preferences. It costs approximately $2.50 per mile to ship a car less than 200 miles, however costs around 75 cents a mile to move a standard vehicle 1,000 miles or more.

Some of the factors we consider include:

• the distance the car must go
• the most acceptable time to move your vehicle
• national cost for fuel
• existing demand for carriers

About Your Quote

Your quote will always be inclusive of all expenses required to transport your car. Some car transport companies will quote a low price just to get a signature on an agreement only to increase the price later, or worse, when your car is being picked up.

Our quotes are final and only change if you make changes that increase the cost. Internet quote forms can only estimate your actual transport costs so it’s always best to speak directly to the vehicle shipping company yourself.

Open and Enclosed Carrier Transport

There are several types of transport carriers that move our client’s vehicles to and from California. We offer both open and enclosed carriers to serve the varied needs of our customers. Below you’ll find a detailed list of the benefits of each.

Open Transports

Open carrier transport simply means shipping your auto on a carrier that doesn’t provide any enclosure to shield it from everyday environmental elements. This is the way most vehicles are delivered to dealerships. It is also the most popular means of transport on the road and a safe way to transport your car.

There are more open carriers operating on the road than any other type of transporter so that makes open transport the cheapest way to transport your vehicle. This also means we have more open transporters traveling through California at any particular time so pickup times are often more flexible.

Enclosed Auto Transporters

Moving your vehicle in an enclosed truck gives you the ultimate peace of mind. As the name suggests, enclosed auto carriers provide the greatest level of protection from weather, elements, rocks or any other possible threat.

As a bonus, enclosed auto carriers often have more experience with high end vehicles. The most common cars moved in an enclosed carrier are antique, collectible or classic motorcycles and cars. They also transport:

• vehicles from car auctions
• classic race cars
• auto show transport
• exotic vehicle show transport
• antique and classic vehicles (as I mentioned above)

The cost of moving a vehicle on an enclosed truck is greater because there are less enclosed trucks available and they can not move as many cars on their truck as an open transport can.

Motorcycle Shipping From or To California

Motorcycle Shipping by UnitedWe do also offer bike and motorcycle shipping across the United States and internationally. We also ship ATVs and dirt bikes door-to-door to almost any location worldwide. Typically motorcycles are moved in an enclosed transporter.

So request a quote now! Our transport team is ready to answer any questions you have and help you move your vehicle to or from California.

No Deposit Required

Some companies will require a down payment prior to your vehicle being picked up. We do not. We work hard to arrange your transport and don’t request payment until your driver is on their way. This ensures you are only charged the price you agreed upon and no slick tricks because we stick to the quote we give you to ship your vehicle.

No matter what you require to move your automobile to/from California, UNITED’s auto transport team will provide you with great customer service, and safe, reliable car shipping services no matter where we deliver for you.

Contacted Joe needed to transport my SUV from MD to ATL. Joe took my info and said he would call as soon as he dispatch a driver in several hours he contacted me said he can have my car pickup up that next day Friday and delivered on Saturday. The Driver call right away before the pickup and after. He was very quick and professional.

I work for a high-end car dealer and we have been using United for some time now. Every time we shipping a car we get quotes from a few different companies, but we always seem to come back to these guys. They always have a good price and we know that they are going to do a fantastic job. Over the years we have had some minor issues, but the great thing about these guys is that they communicate well and solve the problems. I defiantly recommend these guys for shipping your vehicles.

I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!

California is a state in the Pacific Region of the United States. With 39.6 million residents, California is the most populous U.S. state and the third-largest by area.
