Most of the frequently asked questions regarding shipping your automobile are identified in our car shipping blog. It is our mission to help you with every question you have about relocating your car no matter where it’s headed.

But for specific answers regarding moving a car to or from Cleveland, Ohio, read on.

Our procedure to booking the shipment of your automobile is simple. It can be broken down into 3 steps.

What’s the process for transporting my car from Cleveland, Ohio? Great question. Our first step is to book your move so your dispatch team can start planning the most ideal transport for your automobile.

They do have to take into consideration the size, weight, height and type of truck you are scheduling, which typically are open and closed carriers.

We will need basic details about your shipment like the VIN number, year, make and model of each car you are shipping. This tells us the information we need to properly assign your vehicle on a truck.

We will provide you a free shipping quote that is all-inclusive of all the costs required to move your automobile from origin to the drop off point. Our quotes are guaranteed and do not change for any reason unless you make changes to your car transport.

The 2nd step in the process is the pick up of your vehicle. In almost all cases, we do pick up at your location in Cleveland, Ohio and deliver to the designated destination provided when you booked your move.

The most common factors that we deal with when picking up from a particular place are local limitations on driving a big rig into the neighborhood. If there are no regulations regarding driving a transporter then we pick up from the address you provided when you scheduled your transport.

Once your driver arrives, you will do a walk around of the car with the driver. You both will sign the Bill of Lading that designates any existing chips, damage or dings. After you receive a copy of your Bill of Lading, they will load the vehicle, secure it and prepare it for transport from Cleveland, Ohio. Once it’s loaded in the truck the driver will start the journey to the next stop.

Because a driver moves more than on vehicle at a time, he/she may have more pick ups and deliveries to make prior to your car arriving at its final destination.

As the time nears for your auto to arrive, your transporter will call you. It is difficult for a transporter to know precisely when they will arrive before they get closer to the destination because of the many variables that can slow their progress. This includes traffic, weather and federal guidelines regarding rest and how long drivers can actually be on the road.

Normally, you should hear from your carrier typically within the last 24 hours before your auto is scheduled to arrive. Although we have made it clear to our drivers we prefer as much advance notice for our customers as possible, we do know sometimes they don’t know when they will arrive until just a few hours before they get to their destination.

When the auto carrier arrives, you will repeat the same inspection that was completed when the vehicle was picked up. The transporter will have a copy of the Bill of Lading for you to compare pre-existing dents and dings marked during your pick up inspection. You’ll look over the car again to ensure the car looks good and then sign the document. The driver will give you a copy for your records.

So moving your vehicle to or from Cleveland, Ohio can be a reasonably easy process. We always strive to make sure to make the entire experience pleasant for every client.

Why should I ship my car to Cleveland, Ohio?

Relocating your vehicle may not be the best way to transport your vehicle to another location. It puts miles on your vehicle. Depending on the distance you will travel, there can be a lot of wear and tear — and just imagine if it something needs to be fixed while you’re on your way.

Untimely malfunctions can cost far more what it will cost you to have an experienced carrier relocate it for you. Not to mention, the delay it adds to your drive.

That’s why we offer easy door-to-door delivery for all our clients.

Whether you’re moving your car to or from Cleveland, Ohio, let us help you get it transported safely. We are your dependable auto transport team and we’re ready to move when you are.

I work for a high-end car dealer and we have been using United for some time now. Every time we shipping a car we get quotes from a few different companies, but we always seem to come back to these guys. They always have a good price and we know that they are going to do a fantastic job. Over the years we have had some minor issues, but the great thing about these guys is that they communicate well and solve the problems. I defiantly recommend these guys for shipping your vehicles.

I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!
