Connecticut Car Shipping Services

United's team of skilled drivers provide both open and enclosed auto transport services to and from the state of Connecticut.

The most frequently asked questions people have when searching for the best vehicle shipping company in Connecticut are largely about about the cost and how the car is moved. I’m going to answer those questions right now.

How Much Does It Cost to Ship My Car To or From Connecticut?

The typical price to move a vehicle within the United States will be dependent on the kind of trailer you favor open or enclosed, how far it's going, and your pick up and delivery preferences. It costs approximately $2.50 per mile to ship a vehicle less than 200 miles, however costs around 75 cents a mile to ship a standard vehicle 1,000 miles or more.

Some of the things to consider include:

• how far the car must go
• the best time to pickup and deliver your auto
• current cost for diesel
• existing demand for transporters

About Your Quote

The quote you get from us will always be inclusive of all costs required to transport your auto. Other car carrier companies will tell you a low price just to get your signature on a contract only to increase the price after you’ve given a deposit, or worse, when your car is being picked up.

Our bids are all-inclusive and only change if you make alterations that increase the cost. Online quote forms can only guesstimate your real shipping costs so it’s always best to call the car shipping company yourself.

Open and Enclosed Transport

There are multiple types of shipping carriers that move our client's vehicles to and from Connecticut. We offer both open and enclosed transporters to serve the varied needs of our patrons. Below you’ll find a detailed list of the benefits of each.

Open Transports

Open auto transport simply means shipping your vehicle on a carrier that doesn’t provide any enclosure to shield it from everyday environmental elements. This is how most vehicles are delivered to car dealerships. It is also the most popular method of transport on the road and a safe way to transport your vehicle.

There are more open carriers available than any other type of transporter so that makes them the cheapest way to move your vehicle. Plus we have more open transporters traveling through Connecticut at any given time so pickup times are often more flexible.

Enclosed Car Carriers

Shipping your car in an enclosed truck gives you the ultimate peace of mind. As the name suggests, enclosed auto transporters provide the greatest level of protection from weather, elements, rocks or any other threat.

As a bonus, enclosed auto carriers typically have more experience with high end vehicles. The most common autos transported in an enclosed carrier are antique, collectible or classic cars and motorcycles. They also transport:

• autos from auto auctions
• classic race cars
• car show transport
• exotic vehicle show transport
• antique and classic cars (as I mentioned above)

The expense of shipping a vehicle on an enclosed truck is greater because there are less enclosed trucks available and they can not transport as many vehicles on their truck as an open carrier can.

Motorcycle Shipping From or To Connecticut

Motorcycle Shipping by UnitedWe do also provide bike and motorcycle shipping across the United States and internationally. We also ship dirt bikes and ATVs door-to-door to almost any destination worldwide. Normally motorcycles are moved in an enclosed transporter.

So request a quote now! Our transport team is ready to answer any questions you have and help you move your car to or from Connecticut.

No Deposit Required

Some competitors will require a down payment prior to your auto being picked up. We will not. We work hard to arrange your transport and don’t request payment until your transporter is on their way. This ensures you are only charged the price you agreed upon and no slick tricks because we stick to the quote we provide to transport your vehicle.

No matter what you require to move your vehicle to/from Connecticut, UNITED's auto transport team will provide you with great service, and safe, reliable auto transport services no matter where we deliver for you.

Don't make the same mistake that i did...

I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!

I work at a car dealer in town and we have been using United for quite some time. Over the years we have tried many companies and have been burned over and over. These guys aren’t perfect, but they communicate very well and keep us up to date when issues arise.
I have had them deliver many cars to my customer’s and they always have good things to say about this company. I enjoy working with them and I recommend them to other dealers, friends and family. You can’t go wrong when hiring a company like United to ship your vehicles!

Connecticut (/kəˈnɛtɪkət/ (listen))[11] is the southernmost state in the New England region of the United States. As of the 2010 Census, it has the highest per-capita income, Human Development Index (0.962), and median household income in the United States.[12][13][14] It is bordered by Rhode Island to the east, Massachusetts to the north, New York to the west, and Long Island Sound to the south. Its capital is Hartford and its most populous city is Bridgeport. It is part of New England, although portions of it are often grouped with New York and New Jersey as the Tri-state area. The state is named for the Connecticut River which approximately bisects the state. The word "Connecticut" is derived from various anglicized spellings of an Algonquian word for "long tidal river".[15]
