But for specific answers regarding transporting a vehicle to or from Dallas, Texas, read on.
Our process to booking the transport of your automobile is simple. It can be divided into 3 steps.
1) PRELIMINARY STEPS TO AUTOMOBILE SHIPPING
What’s the process for transporting my vehicle from Dallas, Texas? Great question. The first thing is to book your transport so your dispatch team can start searching the most ideal transport for your automobile.
They do have to consider the size, weight, height and type of carrier you are requesting, which most customarily are open and closed options.
We will need basic details about your car like the VIN number, year, make and model of each auto you are shipping. This provides the details we need to properly assign your vehicle on a carrier.
We will give you a free shipping quote that is all-inclusive of all the costs required to transport your car from origin to the drop off point. Our prices are guaranteed and will not change for any reason unless changes are made to your shipment.
2) CAR PICK UP
The 2nd step in the process is the pick up of your auto. In almost all cases, we will pick up at your location in Dallas, Texas and deliver to the specified destination you gave us when you booked your transport.
The most common issues that come up when picking up from a specific location are local restrictions on getting a transporter into the neighborhood. If there are no limitations regarding driving a truck then we pick up from the address you provided when you booked your transport.
Once your driver arrives, you will do a inspection of the vehicle with the driver. You both will sign the Bill of Lading that specifies any existing chips, damage or dings. After you receive a copy of your Bill of Lading, they will load the vehicle, secure it and prepare it for transport from Dallas, Texas. Once it’s loaded on the truck the driver will start the journey to the next stop.
Because a driver moves more than on car at a time, he/she may have more pick ups and deliveries to make prior to your car reaching its final destination.
3) CAR DELIVERY
As the time gets closer for your car to arrive, your carrier will call you. It is difficult for a transporter to know precisely when they will arrive before they get closer to the drop off point because of the many variables that can slow their progress. This includes traffic, weather and federal guidelines regarding rest and how long drivers can actually be on the road.
Normally, you should be contacted by your driver typically within the last 24 hours before your car is scheduled to arrive. Although we have made it clear to our drivers we prefer as much advance notice for our customers as possible, we do know sometimes they don’t know when they will get there until just a few hours before they get to their destination.
When the car carrier arrives, you will repeat the same inspection that was completed when the vehicle was picked up. The transporter will have a copy of the Bill of Lading for you to compare pre-existing dings and dents marked during the pick up inspection. You’ll look over the car again to ensure the car looks good and then sign the document. The driver will give you a copy for your records.
So transporting your vehicle to or from Dallas, Texas can be a fairly easy process. We always strive to make sure to make the entire experience pleasant for every customer.

We found a great company
I work for a high-end car dealer and we have been using United for some time now. Every time we shipping a car we get quotes from a few different companies, but we always seem to come back to these guys. They always have a good price and we know that they are going to do a fantastic job. Over the years we have had some minor issues, but the great thing about these guys is that they communicate well and solve the problems. I defiantly recommend these guys for shipping your vehicles.
Don't make the same mistake that i did...
I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!
I booked, they picked up and delivered. Everything went smooth and i have noting but good things to say about this company.
Very happy with the service!

Pickup – everything went smooth and driver did a great job!
Delivery – driver called the day before and gave me a time and he showed up as he said he would.
Totally recommend this company!
Dallas (/ˈdæləs/), officially the City of Dallas, is a city in the U.S. state of Texas and the seat of Dallas County, with portions extending into Collin, Denton, Kaufman and Rockwall counties. With an estimated 2017 population of 1,341,075, it is the ninth most-populous city in the U.S. and third in Texas after Houston and San Antonio. It is also the eighteenth most-populous city in North America as of 2015. Located in North Texas, the city of Dallas is the main core of the largest metropolitan area in the Southern United States and the largest inland metropolitan area in the U.S. that lacks any navigable link to the sea. It is the most populous city in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, the fourth-largest metropolitan area in the country at 7.3 million people as of 2017. The city's combined statistical area is the seventh-largest in the U.S. as of 2017, with 7,846,293 residents.
Dallas and nearby Fort Worth were initially developed due to the construction of major railroad lines through the area allowing access to cotton, cattle and later oil in North and East Texas. The construction of the Interstate Highway System reinforced Dallas's prominence as a transportation hub, with four major interstate highways converging in the city and a fifth interstate loop around it. Dallas then developed as a strong industrial and financial center and a major inland port, due to the convergence of major railroad lines, interstate highways and the construction of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, one of the largest and busiest airports in the world.
