But for specific answers regarding shipping a automobile to or from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, read on.
Our process to booking the delivery of your vehicle is simple. It can be divided into 3 parts.
1) PRELIMINARY STEPS TO AUTOMOBILE SHIPPING
What’s the process for moving my car from Fort Lauderdale, Florida? Great question. Our first step is to book your move so your transport team can start searching the best move for your car.
They do have to take into consideration the size, weight, height and type of carrier you are requesting, which primarily are open and closed carriers.
We will need general details about your vehicle like the VIN number, year, make and model of each car you are moving. This tells us the details we need to properly move your vehicle on a truck.
We will give you a free shipping quote that is all-inclusive of all the costs required to ship your automobile from origin to your destination. Our quotes are guaranteed and do not increase for any reason unless there are changes made to your shipment.
2) VEHICLE PICK UP
The 2nd step in the process is the pick up of the auto. In almost all cases, we do pick up at your home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and deliver to the specified destination you gave us when you booked your transport.
The only things that we run into when picking up from a home are local limitations on getting a big rig into the area. If there are no issues regarding driving a truck then we pick up from the location you provided when you scheduled your transport.
Once your driver arrives, you will do a inspection of the automobile with the driver. You both will sign the Bill of Lading that designates any existing chips, damage or dents. After you receive a copy of your Bill of Lading, they will load the vehicle, secure it and prepare it for transport from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Once it’s loaded on the truck the driver will start the journey to the next stop.
Because a driver moves more than on vehicle at a time, he/she may have more pick ups and drop offs to make before your car arriving at its final destination.
3) VEHICLE DELIVERY
As the time nears for your auto to arrive, your transporter will call you. It is difficult for a driver to know exactly when they will arrive before they get closer to the drop off point because of the many influences that can slow their progress. This includes traffic, weather and federal guidelines regarding rest and how long transporters can actually be on the road.
Normally, you should hear from your transporter typically within the last 24 hours before your car is scheduled to arrive. Although we have made it clear to our drivers we prefer as much advance notice for our clients as possible, we do know sometimes they don’t know when they will get there until just a few hours before they get to their destination.
When the vehicle carrier arrives, you will repeat the same inspection that was done when the auto was picked up. The transporter will have a copy of the Bill of Lading for you to compare existing dents and dings identified during the pick up inspection. You’ll look over the car again to ensure the car looks good and then sign the document. The driver will give you a copy for your records.
So moving your auto to or from Fort Lauderdale, Florida can be a reasonably effortless process. We always strive to make sure to make the entire experience pleasant for every client.

Contacted Joe needed to transport my SUV from MD to ATL. Joe took my info and said he would call as soon as he dispatch a driver in several hours he contacted me said he can have my car pickup up that next day Friday and delivered on Saturday. The Driver call right away before the pickup and after. He was very quick and professional.
We found a great company
I work for a high-end car dealer and we have been using United for some time now. Every time we shipping a car we get quotes from a few different companies, but we always seem to come back to these guys. They always have a good price and we know that they are going to do a fantastic job. Over the years we have had some minor issues, but the great thing about these guys is that they communicate well and solve the problems. I defiantly recommend these guys for shipping your vehicles.
Don't make the same mistake that i did...
I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!
I booked, they picked up and delivered. Everything went smooth and i have noting but good things to say about this company.
Very happy with the service!

Pickup – everything went smooth and driver did a great job!
Delivery – driver called the day before and gave me a time and he showed up as he said he would.
