Most of the concerns regarding shipping your car are clarified in our car shipping blog. It is our pursuit to clearly answer every question you have about shipping your car no matter where it’s going.

But for specific answers regarding transporting a car to or from Fort Worth, Texas, read on.

Our procedure to booking the shipment of your vehicle is very simple. It can be broken down into three parts.

What’s the process for transporting my vehicle from Fort Worth, Texas? Great question. Our first step is to schedule your transport so your dispatch team can start planning the best move for your automobile.

They do have to consider the size, weight, height and type of transporter you are scheduling, which primarily are open and closed options.

We will need basic information about your car like the VIN number, year, make and model of each vehicle you are moving. This tells us the details we need to properly assign your vehicle on a truck.

We will provide you a free shipping quote that includes the entire expense required to transport your vehicle from pick up to delivery. Our quotes are guaranteed and will not increase for any reason unless changes are made to your shipment.

The second step in the process is the pick up of the auto. In almost all cases, we do pick up at your doorstep in Fort Worth, Texas and deliver to the final destination we were given when you booked your move.

The only issues that we run into when picking up from a home are local regulations on getting a transporter into the neighborhood. If there are no regulations regarding driving a transporter then we pick up from the destination you provided when you scheduled your transport.

Once your transporter arrives, you will do a inspection of the car with the driver. You both will sign the Bill of Lading that identifies any existing chips, damage or dents. After you receive a copy of your Bill of Lading, they will load the vehicle, secure it and prepare it for transport from Fort Worth, Texas. Once it’s loaded on the truck the driver will start the journey to the next destination.

Because a carrier delivers more than on auto at a time, he/she may have multiple pick ups and deliveries to make before your car reaching its final destination.

As the time gets closer for your car to arrive, your transporter will contact you. It is difficult for a transporter to know exactly when they will arrive before they get closer to the destination because of the many influences that can slow their progress. This includes traffic, weather and federal guidelines regarding rest and how long drivers can actually be on the road.

Normally, you should be contacted by your carrier typically within the last 24 hours before your car is scheduled to arrive. Although we have made it clear to our drivers we prefer as much advance notice for our customers as possible, we do know sometimes they don’t know when they will get there until just a few hours before they get to their destination.

When the car transporter arrives, you will repeat the same inspection that was done when the vehicle was picked up. The transporter will have a copy of the Bill of Lading for you to compare existing damage marked during your pick up inspection. You’ll look over the car again to ensure everything is great and then sign the document. The driver will give you a copy for your records.

So transporting your vehicle to or from Fort Worth, Texas can be a reasonably effortless process. We always strive to make sure to make the entire process pleasant for every client.

I work for a high-end car dealer and we have been using United for some time now. Every time we shipping a car we get quotes from a few different companies, but we always seem to come back to these guys. They always have a good price and we know that they are going to do a fantastic job. Over the years we have had some minor issues, but the great thing about these guys is that they communicate well and solve the problems. I defiantly recommend these guys for shipping your vehicles.

I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!
