Most of the frequently asked questions regarding transporting your car are answered in our car shipping blog. It is our pursuit to answer every question you may have about relocating your automobile no matter where it’s going.

But for specific answers regarding moving a car to or from Greensboro, North Carolina, read on.

Our process to scheduling the transport of your vehicle is simple. It can be divided into three steps.

What’s the process for transporting my vehicle from Greensboro, North Carolina? Great question. Our first step is to book your transport so your dispatch team can start planning the best move for your vehicle.

They do have to take into account the size, weight, height and type of transporter you are requesting, which most customarily are open and closed trucks.

We will need general details about your automobile like the VIN number, year, make and model of each car you are moving. This tells us the information we need to properly assign your vehicle on a truck.

We will give you a free transport quote that includes everything required to move your car from pick up to the drop off point. Our quotes are guaranteed and will not fluctuate for any reason unless you make changes to your car transport.

The second step in the process is pick up of the auto. In almost all cases, we will pick up at your home in Greensboro, North Carolina and deliver to the specific destination you gave us when you booked your transport.

The only things that we run into when picking up from a residential address are local laws on driving a transporter into the neighborhood. If there are no problems regarding driving a transporter then we pick up from the destination you provided when you booked your transport.

Once your driver arrives, you will do a walk around of the vehicle with the driver. You both will sign the Bill of Lading that specifies any existing chips, damage or dings. After you receive a copy of your Bill of Lading, they will load the vehicle, secure it and prepare it for transport from Greensboro, North Carolina. Once it’s loaded in the carrier the driver will start the journey to the next stop.

Because a carrier delivers more than on auto at a time, he/she may have other pick ups and drop offs to make before your car reaching its final destination.

As the time gets closer for your vehicle to arrive, your transporter will contact you. It is difficult for a carrier to know precisely when they will arrive before they get closer to the drop off point because of the many variables that can slow their progress. This includes traffic, weather and federal guidelines regarding rest and how long drivers can actually be on the road.

Normally, you should hear from your transporter typically within the last 24 hours before your car is scheduled to arrive. Although we have made it clear to our drivers we prefer as much advance notice for our clients as possible, we do know sometimes they don’t know when they will arrive until just a few hours before they get to their destination.

When the auto carrier arrives, you will repeat the same inspection that was done when the car was picked up. The driver will have a copy of the Bill of Lading for you to compare pre-existing dents and dings identified during your pick up inspection. You’ll look over the car again to ensure the car looks good and then sign the document. The driver will give you a copy for your records.

So shipping your vehicle to or from Greensboro, North Carolina can be a fairly easy process. We always strive to do all we can to make the entire process pleasant for every client.

I work for a high-end car dealer and we have been using United for some time now. Every time we shipping a car we get quotes from a few different companies, but we always seem to come back to these guys. They always have a good price and we know that they are going to do a fantastic job. Over the years we have had some minor issues, but the great thing about these guys is that they communicate well and solve the problems. I defiantly recommend these guys for shipping your vehicles.

I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!

Greensboro (/ˈɡriːnzbʌroʊ/ (listen);[4] formerly Greensborough) is a city in the U.S. state of North Carolina.[1] It is the 3rd-most populous city in North Carolina, the 68th-most populous city in the United States, and the county seat and largest city in Guilford County and the surrounding Piedmont Triad metropolitan region. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 269,666,[2] and in 2015 the estimated population was 285,342.[5] Three major interstate highways (Interstate 40, Interstate 85, and Interstate 73) in the Piedmont region of central North Carolina were built to intersect at this city.

In 1808, "Greensborough" (the spelling before 1895) was planned around a central courthouse square to succeed Guilford Court House as the county seat. The county courts were thus placed closer to the geographical center of the county, a location more easily reached at the time by the majority of the county's citizens, who depended on horse and foot for travel.
