Most of the questions regarding shipping your car are clarified in our car shipping blog. It is our pursuit to answer every question you have about relocating your vehicle no matter where it’s destination may be.

But for specific answers regarding shipping a car to or from Irvine, California, read on.

Our procedure to booking the transport of your vehicle is streamlined. It can be summed up into three steps.

What’s the process for shipping my car from Irvine, California? Great question. Our first step is to book your move so your dispatch team can start searching the best move for your vehicle.

They do have to consider the size, weight, height and type of truck you are scheduling, which typically are open and closed carriers.

We will need general details about your shipment like the VIN number, year, make and model of each auto you are transporting. This tells us the information we need to properly assign your vehicle on a carrier.

We will provide you a free transport quote that includes the entire expense required to ship your vehicle from pick up to delivery. Our prices are guaranteed and will not fluctuate for any reason unless changes are made to your auto transport.

The 2nd step in the process is pick up of your vehicle. In almost all cases, we will pick up at your location in Irvine, California and deliver to the final destination we were given when you booked your transport.

The only factors that we run into when picking up from a residential address are local regulations on getting a truck into the neighborhood. If there are no limitations regarding driving a big rig then we pick up from the destination you provided when you scheduled your transport.

Once your driver arrives, you will do a inspection of the vehicle with the driver. You both will sign the Bill of Lading that identifies any existing chips, damage or dings. After you receive a copy of your Bill of Lading, they will load the vehicle, secure it and prepare it for transport from Irvine, California. Once it’s loaded in the carrier the driver will start their journey to the next destination.

Because a driver moves more than on auto at a time, he/she may have other pick ups and drop offs to make before your car arriving at its final destination.

As the time nears for your auto to arrive, your driver will contact you. It is difficult for a driver to know exactly when they will arrive before they get closer to the destination because of the many influences that can slow their progress. This includes traffic, weather and federal guidelines regarding rest and how long transporters can actually be on the road.

Normally, you should be contacted by your transporter typically within the last 24 hours before your vehicle is scheduled to arrive. Although we have made it clear to our drivers we prefer as much advance notice for our clients as possible, we do know sometimes they don’t know when they will get there until just a few hours before they get to their destination.

When the vehicle carrier arrives, you will repeat the same inspection that was done when the car was picked up. The transporter will have a copy of the Bill of Lading for you to compare pre-existing dings and dents identified during your pick up inspection. You’ll look over the car again to ensure everything is great and then sign the document. The driver will give you a copy for your records.

So moving your auto to or from Irvine, California can be a reasonably easy process. We always strive to do all we can to make the entire process pleasant for every client.

Driving your car may not be the wisest way to transport your vehicle to another city. It puts many miles on your car. Depending on the distance you will travel, there can be a lot of wear and tear — and imagine if it needs maintenance while you’re on your way.

I work for a high-end car dealer and we have been using United for some time now. Every time we shipping a car we get quotes from a few different companies, but we always seem to come back to these guys. They always have a good price and we know that they are going to do a fantastic job. Over the years we have had some minor issues, but the great thing about these guys is that they communicate well and solve the problems. I defiantly recommend these guys for shipping your vehicles.

I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!
