But for specific answers regarding moving a vehicle to or from Jersey City, New Jersey, read on.

Our process to booking the delivery of your car is very simple. It can be broken down into three steps.

What’s the process for transporting my car from Jersey City, New Jersey? Great question. Our first step is to book your transport so your transport team can start looking the best move for your car.

They do have to take into consideration the size, weight, height and type of truck you are scheduling, which primarily are open and closed trucks.

We will need general information about your shipment like the VIN number, year, make and model of each car you are shipping. This tells us the information we need to properly move your vehicle on a carrier.

We will provide you a free shipping quote that includes the entire expense required to transport your automobile from pick up to your destination. Our quotes are guaranteed and do not increase for any reason unless there are changes made to your auto transport.

The 2nd step in the process is pick up of your car. In almost all cases, we will pick up at your home in Jersey City, New Jersey and deliver to the specified destination you gave us when you booked your move.

The most common issues that come up when picking up from a home are local restrictions on getting a big rig into the area. If there are no problems regarding driving a big rig then we pick up from the address you gave us when you booked your transport.

Once your transporter arrives, you will do a inspection of the car with the driver. You both will sign the Bill of Lading that designates any existing chips, damage or dents. After you receive a copy of your Bill of Lading, they will load the vehicle, secure it and prepare it for transport from Jersey City, New Jersey. Once it’s loaded on the transporter the driver will start the journey to the next stop.

Because a driver delivers more than on car at a time, he/she may have more pick ups and drop offs to make before your car reaching its final destination.

As the time nears for your car to arrive, your carrier will call you. It is difficult for a driver to know precisely when they will arrive before they get closer to the drop off point because of the many variables that can slow their progress. This includes traffic, weather and federal guidelines regarding rest and how long transporters can actually be on the road.

Normally, you should hear from your carrier typically within the last 24 hours before your vehicle is scheduled to arrive. Although we have made it clear to our drivers we prefer as much advance notice for our clients as possible, we do know sometimes they don’t know when they will get there until just a few hours before they get to their destination.

When the vehicle carrier arrives, you will repeat the same inspection that was completed when the vehicle was picked up. The transporter will have a copy of the Bill of Lading for you to compare pre-existing dents and dings marked during the pick up inspection. You’ll look over the car again to ensure everything is great and then sign the document. The driver will give you a copy for your records.

So moving your car to or from Jersey City, New Jersey can be a fairly effortless process. We always strive to do all we can to make the entire experience pleasant for every customer.

I work for a high-end car dealer and we have been using United for some time now. Every time we shipping a car we get quotes from a few different companies, but we always seem to come back to these guys. They always have a good price and we know that they are going to do a fantastic job. Over the years we have had some minor issues, but the great thing about these guys is that they communicate well and solve the problems. I defiantly recommend these guys for shipping your vehicles.

I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!

Jersey City is the second most populous city in the U.S. state of New Jersey, after Newark.[29] It is the seat of Hudson County as well as the county's largest city.[30] As of 2017, the Census Bureau's Population Estimates Program calculated that Jersey City's population was 270,753,[22] with the largest population increase of any municipality in New Jersey since 2010,[31] an increase of about 9.4% from the 2010 United States Census, when the city's population was at 247,597.[21][32] ranking the city the 75th-most-populous in the nation.[33]

Part of the New York metropolitan area, Jersey City is bounded on the east by the Hudson River and Upper New York Bay and on the west by the Hackensack River and Newark Bay. A port of entry, with 30.7 miles (49.4 km) of waterfront[34] and extensive rail infrastructure and connectivity, the city is an important transportation terminus and distribution and manufacturing center for the Port of New York and New Jersey. Jersey City shares significant mass transit connections with Manhattan.[35][36] Redevelopment of the Jersey City waterfront has made the city one of the largest centers of banking and finance in the United States and has led to the district being nicknamed Wall Street West.[37]
