But for specific answers regarding shipping a automobile to or from Los Angeles, California, read on.
Our procedure to scheduling the shipment of your automobile is streamlined. It can be divided into 3 steps.
1) PRELIMINARY STEPS TO AUTOMOBILE SHIPPING
What’s the process for transporting my vehicle from Los Angeles, California? Great question. The first step is to book your transport so your dispatch team can start looking the most ideal transport for your automobile.
They do have to take into consideration the size, weight, height and type of truck you are needing, which primarily are open and closed options.
We will need basic information about your shipment like the VIN number, year, make and model of each vehicle you are shipping. This provides the details we need to properly move your vehicle on a carrier.
We will give you a free shipping quote that includes all the costs required to ship your automobile from origin to the drop off point. Our quotes are guaranteed and will not change for any reason unless there are changes made to your auto transport.
2) AUTO PICK UP
The 2nd step in the process is pick up of your auto. In almost all cases, we will pick up at your home in Los Angeles, California and deliver to the designated destination we were given when you booked your move.
The only things that we deal with when picking up from a home are local laws on getting a big rig into the area. If there are no regulations regarding driving a big rig then we pick up from the address you provided when you booked your transport.
Once your transporter arrives, you will do a inspection of the automobile with the driver. You both will sign the Bill of Lading that designates any existing chips, damage or dings. After you receive a copy of your Bill of Lading, they will load the vehicle, secure it and prepare it for transport from Los Angeles, California. Once it’s loaded in the transporter the driver will start their journey to the next stop.
Because a carrier moves more than on vehicle at a time, he/she may have other pick ups and deliveries to make prior to your car reaching its final destination.
3) CAR DELIVERY
As the time gets closer for your car to arrive, your driver will call you. It is difficult for a driver to know precisely when they will arrive before they get closer to the destination because of the many variables that can slow their progress. This includes traffic, weather and federal guidelines regarding rest and how long drivers can actually be on the road.
Normally, you should be contacted by your driver typically within the last 24 hours before your auto is scheduled to arrive. Although we have made it clear to our drivers we prefer as much advance notice for our clients as possible, we do know sometimes they don’t know when they will arrive until just a few hours before they get to their destination.
When the vehicle transporter arrives, you will repeat the same inspection that was done when the car was picked up. The driver will have a copy of the Bill of Lading for you to compare existing dents and dings marked during the pick up inspection. You’ll look over the car again to ensure everything is great and then sign the document. The driver will give you a copy for your records.
So moving your car to or from Los Angeles, California can be a fairly easy process. We always strive to ensure to make the entire process pleasant for every customer.

We found a great company
I work for a high-end car dealer and we have been using United for some time now. Every time we shipping a car we get quotes from a few different companies, but we always seem to come back to these guys. They always have a good price and we know that they are going to do a fantastic job. Over the years we have had some minor issues, but the great thing about these guys is that they communicate well and solve the problems. I defiantly recommend these guys for shipping your vehicles.
Don't make the same mistake that i did...
I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!
I booked, they picked up and delivered. Everything went smooth and i have noting but good things to say about this company.

Pickup – everything went smooth and driver did a great job!
Delivery – driver called the day before and gave me a time and he showed up as he said he would.
