But for specific answers regarding shipping a vehicle to or from Madison, Wisconsin, read on.

Our procedure to booking the transport of your car is very simple. It can be broken down into 3 steps.

What’s the process for moving my car from Madison, Wisconsin? Great question. The first step is to book your transport so your move team can start searching the best move for your automobile.

They do have to take into account the size, weight, height and type of transporter you are scheduling, which typically are open and closed trucks.

We will need general information about your shipment like the VIN number, year, make and model of each car you are shipping. This provides the information we need to properly move your vehicle on a truck.

We will provide you a free shipping quote that includes all the costs required to ship your car from origin to delivery. Our quotes are guaranteed and will not fluctuate for any reason unless you make changes to your auto transport.

The 2nd step in the process is pick up of your auto. In almost all cases, we do pick up at your location in Madison, Wisconsin and deliver to the specified destination we were given when you booked your transport.

The only factors that we run into when picking up from a residential address are local limitations on driving a truck into the area. If there are no limitations regarding driving a truck then we pick up from the address you provided when you booked your transport.

Once your transporter arrives, you will do a inspection of the vehicle with the driver. You both will sign the Bill of Lading that designates any existing chips, damage or dings. After you receive a copy of your Bill of Lading, they will load the vehicle, secure it and prepare it for transport from Madison, Wisconsin. Once it’s loaded on the transporter the driver will start the journey to the next stop.

Because a transporter moves more than on car at a time, he/she may have other pick ups and deliveries to make prior to your car reaching its final destination.

As the time gets closer for your vehicle to arrive, your transporter will call you. It is difficult for a transporter to know precisely when they will arrive before they get closer to the destination because of the many influences that can slow their progress. This includes traffic, weather and federal guidelines regarding rest and how long transporters can actually be on the road.

Normally, you should be contacted by your driver typically within the last 24 hours before your auto is scheduled to arrive. Although we have made it clear to our drivers we prefer as much advance notice for our customers as possible, we do know sometimes they don’t know when they will get there until just a few hours before they get to their destination.

When the car transporter arrives, you will repeat the same inspection that was done when the car was picked up. The transporter will have a copy of the Bill of Lading for you to compare pre-existing damage marked during your pick up inspection. You’ll look over the car again to ensure everything is great and then sign the document. The driver will give you a copy for your records.

So transporting your auto to or from Madison, Wisconsin can be a fairly easy process. We always strive to ensure to make the entire experience pleasant for every client.

I work for a high-end car dealer and we have been using United for some time now. Every time we shipping a car we get quotes from a few different companies, but we always seem to come back to these guys. They always have a good price and we know that they are going to do a fantastic job. Over the years we have had some minor issues, but the great thing about these guys is that they communicate well and solve the problems. I defiantly recommend these guys for shipping your vehicles.

I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!
