Maryland Auto Transport Services

United's team of experienced drivers provide both open and enclosed auto transport services to and from the great state of Maryland.

The most frequently asked questions customers have when searching for the best auto transport company in Maryland are largely about about price and how the car is moved. we’ll going to answer those questions right now.

How Much Does It Cost to Ship My Car To or From Maryland?

The standard price to transport a car within the United States will depend on what kind of trailer you favor enclosed or open, how far it's going, and your pick up and delivery preferences. It costs around $2.50 per mile to ship a car less than 200 miles, but costs around 75 cents a mile to move a standard vehicle 1,000 miles or more.

Some of the factors to consider include:

• how many miles the vehicle must go
• the best time to move your vehicle
• national cost for diesel
• existing demand for carriers

Your Quote

The quote you get from us will always be inclusive of all expenses required to move your auto. Some car shipping companies will quote a low-ball price just to get your autograph on an agreement only to jack up the price later, or worse, when it’s being picked up.

Our quotes are all-inclusive and only change if you make changes that increase the cost. Internet quote forms can only guesstimate your actual transport costs so it’s always best to speak directly to the car shipping company yourself.

Open and Enclosed Carrier Transport

There are various types of shipping carriers that move our client's vehicles to and from Maryland. We offer both open and enclosed carriers to serve the varied needs of our clients. Below you’ll find a detailed list of the benefits of each.

Open Transports

Open vehicle transport simply means shipping your vehicle on a carrier that does not provide any enclosure to protect it from everyday environmental elements. This is how most vehicles are delivered to car dealerships. It is also the most common means of transport on the road and a safe way to move your car.

There are more open carriers available than any other type of transporter so that makes them the cheapest way to ship your automobile. This also means we have more open transporters traveling through Maryland at any particular time so pickup times are often more flexible.

Enclosed Car Transporters

Shipping your vehicle in an enclosed carrier will give you the ultimate peace of mind. As the name suggests, enclosed auto carriers provide the greatest level of protection from weather, elements, rocks or any other possible threat.

As a bonus, enclosed auto transporters often have more experience with high end vehicles. The most common vehicles shipped in an enclosed carrier are classic, collectible or antique cars and motorcycles. They also transport:

• autos from auto auctions
• vintage race cars
• auto show transport
• exotic auto show transport
• antique and classic cars (like I mentioned above)

The cost of moving a car on an enclosed truck is more because there are fewer enclosed trucks on the road and they can not move as many cars on their truck as an open carrier can.

Motorcycle Shipping To or From Maryland

Motorcycle Shipping by UnitedWe do also offer motorcycle and bike shipping across the county and internationally. We also ship dirt bikes and ATVs door-to-door to almost any location worldwide. Typically motorcycles are transported in an enclosed carrier.

So request a quote now! Our transport team is ready to answer any questions you have and help you move your vehicle to or from Maryland.

This ensures you are only charged the total you agreed to and no tricky scams because we stick to the quote we provide to transport your vehicle.

Thanks Joe
Contacted Joe needed to transport my SUV from MD to ATL. Joe took my info and said he would call as soon as he dispatch a driver in several hours he contacted me said he can have my car pickup up that next day Friday and delivered on Saturday. The Driver call right away before the pickup and after. He was very quick and professional.

Don't make the same mistake that i did...

I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!

Maryland (/ˈmɛərɪlənd/ (listen) MAIR-ih-lənd)[8] is a state in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States, bordering Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia to its south and west; Pennsylvania to its north; and Delaware to its east. The state's largest city is Baltimore, and its capital is Annapolis. Among its occasional nicknames are Old Line State, the Free State, and the Chesapeake Bay State. It is named after the English queen Henrietta Maria, known in England as Queen Mary.[9][10]

Sixteen of Maryland's twenty-three counties border the tidal waters of the Chesapeake Bay estuary and its many tributaries, which combined total more than 4,000 miles of shoreline. Although one of the smallest states in the U.S., it features a variety of climates and topographical features that have earned it the moniker of America in Miniature. In a similar vein, Maryland's geography, culture, and history combines elements of the Mid-Atlantic, Northeastern, and South Atlantic regions of the country.
