Most of the frequently asked questions regarding moving your automobile are identified in our car shipping blog. It is our pursuit to clearly answer every question you have about transporting your car no matter where it’s headed.

But for specific answers regarding transporting a car to or from Newark, New Jersey, read on.

Our procedure to booking the shipment of your automobile is streamlined. It can be divided into three parts.

What’s the process for transporting my car from Newark, New Jersey? Great question. The first thing is to book your transport so your move team can start searching the best move for your automobile.

They do have to take into account the size, weight, height and type of carrier you are needing, which most customarily are open and closed trucks.

We will need general details about your shipment like the VIN number, year, make and model of each car you are transporting. This provides the details we need to properly assign your vehicle on a truck.

We will provide you a free transport quote that is all-inclusive of all the costs required to move your car from pick up to your destination. Our prices are guaranteed and will not increase for any reason unless there are changes made to your car transport.

The second step in the process is the pick up of your vehicle. In almost all cases, we do pick up at your home in Newark, New Jersey and deliver to the final destination we were given when you booked your shipping.

The most common things that we run into when picking up from a particular place are local regulations on driving a transporter into the area. If there are no limitations regarding driving a transporter then we pick up from the address you provided when you scheduled your transport.

Once your driver arrives, you will do a inspection of the car with the driver. You both will sign the Bill of Lading that designates any existing chips, damage or dents. After you receive a copy of your Bill of Lading, they will load the vehicle, secure it and prepare it for transport from Newark, New Jersey. Once it’s loaded on the carrier the driver will start their journey to the next destination.

Because a driver delivers more than on auto at a time, he/she may have other pick ups and drop offs to make prior to your car arriving at its final destination.

As the time gets closer for your vehicle to arrive, your carrier will call you. It is difficult for a driver to know precisely when they will arrive before they get closer to the drop off point because of the many elements that can slow their progress. This includes traffic, weather and federal guidelines regarding rest and how long transporters can actually be on the road.

Normally, you should be contacted by your driver typically within the last 24 hours before your car is scheduled to arrive. Although we have made it clear to our drivers we prefer as much advance notice for our customers as possible, we do know sometimes they don’t know when they will get there until just a few hours before they get to their destination.

When the auto carrier arrives, you will repeat the same inspection that was done when the vehicle was picked up. The transporter will have a copy of the Bill of Lading for you to compare pre-existing dings and dents identified during the pick up inspection. You’ll look over the car again to ensure everything is great and then sign the document. The driver will give you a copy for your records.

So moving your auto to or from Newark, New Jersey can be a reasonably easy process. We always strive to do all we can to make the entire experience pleasant for every client.

I work for a high-end car dealer and we have been using United for some time now. Every time we shipping a car we get quotes from a few different companies, but we always seem to come back to these guys. They always have a good price and we know that they are going to do a fantastic job. Over the years we have had some minor issues, but the great thing about these guys is that they communicate well and solve the problems. I defiantly recommend these guys for shipping your vehicles.

I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!

Newark (/ˈnjuːərk/,[25]locally /njʊərk/)[26] is the most populous city in the U.S. state of New Jersey and the seat of Essex County.[27] As one of the nation's major air, shipping, and rail hubs, the city had a population of 285,154 in 2017,[14] making it the nation's 70th-most populous municipality,[15] after being ranked 63rd in the nation in 2000.[16]

Settled in 1666 by Puritans from New Haven Colony, Newark is one of the oldest cities in the United States. Its location at the mouth of the Passaic River (where it flows into Newark Bay) has made the city's waterfront an integral part of the Port of New York and New Jersey. Today, Port Newark–Elizabeth is the primary container shipping terminal of the busiest seaport on the American East Coast. In addition, Newark Liberty International Airport was the first municipal commercial airport in the United States, and today is one of its busiest.[28][29][30]
