But for specific answers regarding moving a vehicle to or from Omaha, Nebraska, read on.

Our process to scheduling the shipment of your car is streamlined. It can be summed up into three steps.

What’s the process for moving my car from Omaha, Nebraska? Great question. The first thing is to book your transport so your transport team can start searching the most ideal transport for your car.

They do have to consider the size, weight, height and type of carrier you are requesting, which primarily are open and closed trucks.

We will need general information about your vehicle like the VIN number, year, make and model of each vehicle you are shipping. This provides the details we need to properly place your vehicle on a truck.

We will provide you a free shipping quote that is all-inclusive of everything required to ship your car from pick up to your destination. Our quotes are guaranteed and do not change for any reason unless changes are made to your shipment.

The 2nd step in the process is the pick up of the vehicle. In almost all cases, we do pick up at your doorstep in Omaha, Nebraska and deliver to the designated destination you gave us when you booked your transport.

The most common factors that we run into when picking up from a particular place are local limitations on driving a big rig into the neighborhood. If there are no limitations regarding driving a truck then we pick up from the location you provided when you scheduled your transport.

Once your driver arrives, you will do a walk around of the car with the driver. You both will sign the Bill of Lading that identifies any existing chips, damage or dents. After you receive a copy of your Bill of Lading, they will load the vehicle, secure it and prepare it for transport from Omaha, Nebraska. Once it’s loaded in the transporter the driver will start their journey to the next stop.

Because a transporter moves more than on auto at a time, he/she may have other pick ups and drop offs to make prior to your car arriving at its final destination.

As the time nears for your car to arrive, your driver will contact you. It is difficult for a driver to know precisely when they will arrive before they get closer to the drop off point because of the many variables that can slow their progress. This includes traffic, weather and federal guidelines regarding rest and how long drivers can actually be on the road.

Normally, you should be contacted by your transporter typically within the last 24 hours before your auto is scheduled to arrive. Although we have made it clear to our drivers we prefer as much advance notice for our customers as possible, we do know sometimes they don’t know when they will arrive until just a few hours before they get to their destination.

When the vehicle carrier arrives, you will repeat the same inspection that was done when the car was picked up. The driver will have a copy of the Bill of Lading for you to compare existing dents and dings marked during your pick up inspection. You’ll look over the car again to ensure the car looks good and then sign the document. The driver will give you a copy for your records.

So shipping your vehicle to or from Omaha, Nebraska can be a fairly easy process. We always strive to make sure to make the entire process pleasant for every client.

Why should I ship my car to Omaha, Nebraska?

I work for a high-end car dealer and we have been using United for some time now. Every time we shipping a car we get quotes from a few different companies, but we always seem to come back to these guys. They always have a good price and we know that they are going to do a fantastic job. Over the years we have had some minor issues, but the great thing about these guys is that they communicate well and solve the problems. I defiantly recommend these guys for shipping your vehicles.

I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!
