But for specific answers regarding shipping a vehicle to or from Raleigh, North Carolina, read on.
Our process to scheduling the transport of your vehicle is streamlined. It can be broken down into three parts.
1) PRELIMINARY STEPS TO VEHICLE SHIPPING
What’s the process for transporting my car from Raleigh, North Carolina? Great question. Our first step is to book your move so your transport team can start searching the most ideal transport for your vehicle.
They do have to consider the size, weight, height and type of transporter you are scheduling, which typically are open and closed carriers.
We will need basic details about your shipment like the VIN number, year, make and model of each vehicle you are transporting. This tells us the details we need to properly move your vehicle on a transporter.
We will give you a free shipping quote that is all-inclusive of all the costs required to ship your automobile from origin to your destination. Our prices are guaranteed and will not change for any reason unless you make changes to your car transport.
2) CAR PICK UP
The second step in the process is the pick up of your auto. In almost all cases, we will pick up at your doorstep in Raleigh, North Carolina and deliver to the final destination we were given when you booked your move.
The only factors that we run into when picking up from a home are local laws on getting a transporter into the area. If there are no regulations regarding driving a transporter then we pick up from the destination you provided when you booked your transport.
Once your transporter arrives, you will do a inspection of the automobile with the driver. You both will sign the Bill of Lading that identifies any existing chips, damage or dings. After you receive a copy of your Bill of Lading, they will load the vehicle, secure it and prepare it for transport from Raleigh, North Carolina. Once it’s loaded in the transporter the driver will start their journey to the next destination.
Because a carrier moves more than on car at a time, he/she may have multiple pick ups and drop offs to make before your car reaching its final destination.
3) AUTO DELIVERY
As the time gets closer for your auto to arrive, your driver will call you. It is difficult for a transporter to know precisely when they will arrive before they get closer to the destination because of the many elements that can slow their progress. This includes traffic, weather and federal guidelines regarding rest and how long drivers can actually be on the road.
Normally, you should be contacted by your transporter typically within the last 24 hours before your auto is scheduled to arrive. Although we have made it clear to our drivers we prefer as much advance notice for our clients as possible, we do know sometimes they don’t know when they will arrive until just a few hours before they get to their destination.
When the car carrier arrives, you will repeat the same inspection that was done when the auto was picked up. The driver will have a copy of the Bill of Lading for you to compare pre-existing damage marked during your pick up inspection. You’ll look over the car again to ensure everything is great and then sign the document. The driver will give you a copy for your records.
So moving your auto to or from Raleigh, North Carolina can be a reasonably easy process. We always strive to do all we can to make the entire process pleasant for every client.

We found a great company
I work for a high-end car dealer and we have been using United for some time now. Every time we shipping a car we get quotes from a few different companies, but we always seem to come back to these guys. They always have a good price and we know that they are going to do a fantastic job. Over the years we have had some minor issues, but the great thing about these guys is that they communicate well and solve the problems. I defiantly recommend these guys for shipping your vehicles.
Don't make the same mistake that i did...
I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!
I booked, they picked up and delivered. Everything went smooth and i have noting but good things to say about this company.

Pickup – everything went smooth and driver did a great job!
Delivery – driver called the day before and gave me a time and he showed up as he said he would.
