But for specific answers regarding shipping a car to or from Reno, Nevada, read on.

Our steps to scheduling the transport of your automobile is very simple. It can be divided into three parts.

What’s the process for shipping my car from Reno, Nevada? Great question. The first step is to book your transport so your move team can start looking the best move for your automobile.

They do have to consider the size, weight, height and type of transporter you are needing, which typically are open and closed options.

We will need general information about your vehicle like the VIN number, year, make and model of each auto you are transporting. This provides the details we need to properly place your vehicle on a transporter.

We will provide you a free transport quote that includes everything required to move your vehicle from pick up to your destination. Our quotes are guaranteed and do not change for any reason unless changes are made to your car transport.

The second step in the process is the pick up of the auto. In almost all cases, we will pick up at your doorstep in Reno, Nevada and deliver to the designated destination we were given when you booked your transport.

The most common things that come up when picking up from a specific location are local laws on driving a transporter into the neighborhood. If there are no issues regarding driving a truck then we pick up from the location you gave us when you scheduled your transport.

Once your driver arrives, you will do a inspection of the vehicle with the driver. You both will sign the Bill of Lading that identifies any existing chips, damage or dings. After you receive a copy of your Bill of Lading, they will load the vehicle, secure it and prepare it for transport from Reno, Nevada. Once it’s loaded in the truck the driver will start the journey to the next destination.

Because a transporter moves more than on auto at a time, he/she may have other pick ups and deliveries to make before your car reaching its final destination.

As the time nears for your auto to arrive, your driver will call you. It is difficult for a transporter to know exactly when they will arrive before they get closer to the drop off point because of the many elements that can slow their progress. This includes traffic, weather and federal guidelines regarding rest and how long drivers can actually be on the road.

Normally, you should hear from your driver typically within the last 24 hours before your car is scheduled to arrive. Although we have made it clear to our drivers we prefer as much advance notice for our clients as possible, we do know sometimes they don’t know when they will get there until just a few hours before they get to their destination.

When the car carrier arrives, you will repeat the same inspection that was done when the vehicle was picked up. The driver will have a copy of the Bill of Lading for you to compare pre-existing dings and dents marked during your pick up inspection. You’ll look over the car again to ensure everything is great and then sign the document. The driver will give you a copy for your records.

So moving your auto to or from Reno, Nevada can be a fairly effortless process. We always strive to do all we can to make the entire process pleasant for every customer.

I work for a high-end car dealer and we have been using United for some time now. Every time we shipping a car we get quotes from a few different companies, but we always seem to come back to these guys. They always have a good price and we know that they are going to do a fantastic job. Over the years we have had some minor issues, but the great thing about these guys is that they communicate well and solve the problems. I defiantly recommend these guys for shipping your vehicles.

I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!

Reno (/ˈriːnoʊ/ REE-noh) is a city in the U.S. state of Nevada, located in the northwestern part of the state, approximately 22 miles (35 km) from Lake Tahoe. Known as "The Biggest Little City in the World",[2] Reno is known for its casino industry. Reno is the county seat of Washoe County. The city sits in a high desert river valley at the foot of the Sierra Nevada and its downtown area (along with Sparks) occupies a valley informally known as the Truckee Meadows. The city is named after Union Major General Jesse L. Reno, who was killed in action during the American Civil War at the Battle of South Mountain on Fox's Gap.

Reno, with an estimated population of 248,853 as of 2017, is the fourth-most populous city in Nevada after Las Vegas, Henderson, and North Las Vegas, all three of those cities being part of the Las Vegas metropolitan area.[3] Reno is the most populous city in the state outside of the Las Vegas metropolitan area. Reno is part of the Reno–Sparks metropolitan area which consists of all of Washoe and Storey counties.[4]
