Most of the frequently asked questions regarding moving your car are clarified in our car shipping blog. It is our goal to answer every question you have about transporting your car no matter where it’s destination may be.

But for specific answers regarding moving a automobile to or from San Bernardino, California, read on.

Our process to scheduling the shipment of your automobile is streamlined. It can be summed up into 3 parts.

What’s the process for transporting my car from San Bernardino, California? Great question. The first thing is to schedule your transport so your dispatch team can start searching the best move for your car.

They do have to take into account the size, weight, height and type of transporter you are requesting, which most customarily are open and closed carriers.

We will need basic details about your automobile like the VIN number, year, make and model of each auto you are moving. This tells us the information we need to properly move your vehicle on a transporter.

We will provide you a free transport quote that includes everything required to move your automobile from pick up to the drop off point. Our prices are guaranteed and will not increase for any reason unless there are changes made to your car transport.

The 2nd step in the process is the pick up of the car. In almost all cases, we will pick up at your home in San Bernardino, California and deliver to the final destination provided when you booked your transport.

The most common issues that we deal with when picking up from a home are local limitations on getting a truck into the neighborhood. If there are no limitations regarding driving a transporter then we pick up from the destination you provided when you booked your transport.

Once your driver arrives, you will do a walk around of the automobile with the driver. You both will sign the Bill of Lading that designates any existing chips, damage or dents. After you receive a copy of your Bill of Lading, they will load the vehicle, secure it and prepare it for transport from San Bernardino, California. Once it’s loaded in the truck the driver will start the journey to the next destination.

Because a transporter delivers more than on car at a time, he/she may have multiple pick ups and deliveries to make before your car arriving at its final destination.

As the time nears for your vehicle to arrive, your driver will contact you. It is difficult for a carrier to know exactly when they will arrive before they get closer to the destination because of the many variables that can slow their progress. This includes traffic, weather and federal guidelines regarding rest and how long drivers can actually be on the road.

Normally, you should be contacted by your driver typically within the last 24 hours before your car is scheduled to arrive. Although we have made it clear to our drivers we prefer as much advance notice for our clients as possible, we do know sometimes they don’t know when they will get there until just a few hours before they get to their destination.

When the car transporter arrives, you will repeat the same inspection that was done when the vehicle was picked up. The transporter will have a copy of the Bill of Lading for you to compare pre-existing dents and dings identified during your pick up inspection. You’ll look over the car again to ensure the car looks good and then sign the document. The driver will give you a copy for your records.

So shipping your auto to or from San Bernardino, California can be a reasonably effortless process. We always strive to do all we can to make the entire process pleasant for every client.

I work for a high-end car dealer and we have been using United for some time now. Every time we shipping a car we get quotes from a few different companies, but we always seem to come back to these guys. They always have a good price and we know that they are going to do a fantastic job. Over the years we have had some minor issues, but the great thing about these guys is that they communicate well and solve the problems. I defiantly recommend these guys for shipping your vehicles.

I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!
