But for specific answers regarding transporting a vehicle to or from Santa Ana, California, read on.

Our process to booking the shipment of your car is streamlined. It can be summed up into 3 steps.

What’s the process for transporting my vehicle from Santa Ana, California? Great question. The first thing is to schedule your move so your transport team can start searching the most ideal transport for your automobile.

They do have to take into consideration the size, weight, height and type of truck you are scheduling, which typically are open and closed carriers.

We will need basic information about your vehicle like the VIN number, year, make and model of each car you are moving. This provides the information we need to properly place your vehicle on a transporter.

We will provide you a free shipping quote that includes everything required to move your vehicle from pick up to the drop off point. Our prices are guaranteed and do not change for any reason unless you make changes to your auto transport.

The second step in the process is the pick up of your vehicle. In almost all cases, we will pick up at your location in Santa Ana, California and deliver to the specified destination provided when you booked your transport.

The most common issues that we run into when picking up from a home are local limitations on getting a truck into the area. If there are no issues regarding driving a truck then we pick up from the address you provided when you scheduled your transport.

Once your driver arrives, you will do a inspection of the vehicle with the driver. You both will sign the Bill of Lading that designates any existing chips, damage or dings. After you receive a copy of your Bill of Lading, they will load the vehicle, secure it and prepare it for transport from Santa Ana, California. Once it’s loaded in the transporter the driver will start the journey to the next stop.

Because a driver moves more than on auto at a time, he/she may have other pick ups and drop offs to make before your car arriving at its final destination.

As the time gets closer for your car to arrive, your driver will contact you. It is difficult for a transporter to know precisely when they will arrive before they get closer to the destination because of the many elements that can slow their progress. This includes traffic, weather and federal guidelines regarding rest and how long drivers can actually be on the road.

Normally, you should be contacted by your carrier typically within the last 24 hours before your vehicle is scheduled to arrive. Although we have made it clear to our drivers we prefer as much advance notice for our clients as possible, we do know sometimes they don’t know when they will get there until just a few hours before they get to their destination.

When the auto carrier arrives, you will repeat the same inspection that was completed when the auto was picked up. The driver will have a copy of the Bill of Lading for you to compare existing dents and dings marked during the pick up inspection. You’ll look over the car again to ensure the car looks good and then sign the document. The driver will give you a copy for your records.

So shipping your auto to or from Santa Ana, California can be a fairly easy process. We always strive to do all we can to make the entire process pleasant for every customer.

I work for a high-end car dealer and we have been using United for some time now. Every time we shipping a car we get quotes from a few different companies, but we always seem to come back to these guys. They always have a good price and we know that they are going to do a fantastic job. Over the years we have had some minor issues, but the great thing about these guys is that they communicate well and solve the problems. I defiantly recommend these guys for shipping your vehicles.

I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!
