Most of the frequently asked questions regarding shipping your automobile are clarified in our car shipping blog. It is our goal to clearly answer every question you have about shipping your automobile no matter where it’s going.

But for specific answers regarding transporting a car to or from Stockton, California, read on.

Our steps to scheduling the shipment of your automobile is simple. It can be divided into three parts.

What’s the process for transporting my vehicle from Stockton, California? Great question. The first thing is to schedule your transport so your move team can start searching the most ideal transport for your car.

They do have to take into account the size, weight, height and type of truck you are requesting, which primarily are open and closed options.

We will need basic details about your shipment like the VIN number, year, make and model of each auto you are transporting. This provides the details we need to properly place your vehicle on a transporter.

We will provide you a free transport quote that includes the entire expense required to move your car from pick up to your destination. Our quotes are guaranteed and will not increase for any reason unless you make changes to your auto transport.

The 2nd step in the process is pick up of your auto. In almost all cases, we will pick up at your doorstep in Stockton, California and deliver to the specific destination provided when you booked your shipping.

The most common things that come up when picking up from a home are local laws on getting a transporter into the area. If there are no limitations regarding driving a transporter then we pick up from the location you provided when you booked your transport.

Once your driver arrives, you will do a inspection of the car with the driver. You both will sign the Bill of Lading that identifies any existing chips, damage or dings. After you receive a copy of your Bill of Lading, they will load the vehicle, secure it and prepare it for transport from Stockton, California. Once it’s loaded on the truck the driver will start their journey to the next stop.

Because a transporter delivers more than on auto at a time, he/she may have more pick ups and drop offs to make prior to your car reaching its final destination.

As the time nears for your vehicle to arrive, your transporter will contact you. It is difficult for a transporter to know precisely when they will arrive before they get closer to the destination because of the many influences that can slow their progress. This includes traffic, weather and federal guidelines regarding rest and how long drivers can actually be on the road.

Normally, you should hear from your transporter typically within the last 24 hours before your auto is scheduled to arrive. Although we have made it clear to our drivers we prefer as much advance notice for our clients as possible, we do know sometimes they don’t know when they will get there until just a few hours before they get to their destination.

When the vehicle carrier arrives, you will repeat the same inspection that was done when the auto was picked up. The driver will have a copy of the Bill of Lading for you to compare pre-existing damage marked during your pick up inspection. You’ll look over the car again to ensure the car looks good and then sign the document. The driver will give you a copy for your records.

So moving your vehicle to or from Stockton, California can be a fairly effortless process. We always strive to do all we can to make the entire process pleasant for every client.

I work for a high-end car dealer and we have been using United for some time now. Every time we shipping a car we get quotes from a few different companies, but we always seem to come back to these guys. They always have a good price and we know that they are going to do a fantastic job. Over the years we have had some minor issues, but the great thing about these guys is that they communicate well and solve the problems. I defiantly recommend these guys for shipping your vehicles.

I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!

Stockton is the county seat of San Joaquin County in the Central Valley of the U.S. state of California.[19] Stockton was founded by Captain Charles Maria Weber in 1849 after he acquired Rancho Campo de los Franceses. The city is named after Robert F. Stockton,[20] and it was the first community in California to have a name not of Spanish or Native American origin. The city is located on the San Joaquin River in the northern San Joaquin Valley and had an estimated population of 320,554 by the California Department of Finance for 2017. Stockton is the 13th largest city in California and the 63rd largest city in the United States. It was named an All-America City in 1999, 2004, 2015 and again in 2017.

Built during the California Gold Rush, Stockton's seaport serves as a gateway to the Central Valley and beyond. It provided easy access for trade and transportation to the southern gold mines. The University of the Pacific (UOP), chartered in 1851, is the oldest university in California, and has been located in Stockton since 1923. As a result of the 2008 financial crisis, Stockton was the second largest city in the United States to file for bankruptcy protection. Stockton successfully exited bankruptcy in February 2015.
