But for specific answers regarding shipping a car to or from Virginia Beach, Virginia, read on.

Our process to scheduling the delivery of your vehicle is very simple. It can be divided into 3 parts.

What’s the process for shipping my car from Virginia Beach, Virginia? Great question. The first step is to schedule your transport so your transport team can start looking the best move for your car.

They do have to consider the size, weight, height and type of transporter you are needing, which typically are open and closed carriers.

We will need general information about your vehicle like the VIN number, year, make and model of each vehicle you are moving. This provides the details we need to properly assign your vehicle on a truck.

We will give you a free shipping quote that includes everything required to transport your vehicle from origin to your destination. Our quotes are guaranteed and do not increase for any reason unless there are changes made to your shipment.

The 2nd step in the process is pick up of your auto. In almost all cases, we will pick up at your home in Virginia Beach, Virginia and deliver to the final destination you gave us when you booked your transport.

The only factors that we run into when picking up from a neighborhood are local restrictions on driving a big rig into the area. If there are no limitations regarding driving a truck then we pick up from the location you gave us when you scheduled your transport.

Once your driver arrives, you will do a inspection of the automobile with the driver. You both will sign the Bill of Lading that specifies any existing chips, damage or dents. After you receive a copy of your Bill of Lading, they will load the vehicle, secure it and prepare it for transport from Virginia Beach, Virginia. Once it’s loaded on the carrier the driver will start the journey to the next stop.

Because a transporter moves more than on vehicle at a time, he/she may have other pick ups and drop offs to make before your car reaching its final destination.

As the time gets closer for your car to arrive, your driver will call you. It is difficult for a carrier to know precisely when they will arrive before they get closer to the destination because of the many influences that can slow their progress. This includes traffic, weather and federal guidelines regarding rest and how long transporters can actually be on the road.

Normally, you should hear from your driver typically within the last 24 hours before your auto is scheduled to arrive. Although we have made it clear to our drivers we prefer as much advance notice for our clients as possible, we do know sometimes they don’t know when they will arrive until just a few hours before they get to their destination.

When the car transporter arrives, you will repeat the same inspection that was completed when the car was picked up. The transporter will have a copy of the Bill of Lading for you to compare pre-existing dings and dents marked during your pick up inspection. You’ll look over the car again to ensure everything is great and then sign the document. The driver will give you a copy for your records.

So transporting your car to or from Virginia Beach, Virginia can be a fairly effortless process. We always strive to do all we can to make the entire process pleasant for every customer.

I work for a high-end car dealer and we have been using United for some time now. Every time we shipping a car we get quotes from a few different companies, but we always seem to come back to these guys. They always have a good price and we know that they are going to do a fantastic job. Over the years we have had some minor issues, but the great thing about these guys is that they communicate well and solve the problems. I defiantly recommend these guys for shipping your vehicles.

I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!
