Most of the frequently asked questions regarding moving your automobile are clarified in our car shipping blog. It is our mission to help you with every question you may have about transporting your automobile no matter where it’s headed.

But for specific answers regarding shipping a car to or from Waipahu, Hawaii, read on.

Our steps to scheduling the transport of your vehicle is very simple. It can be divided into 3 parts.

What’s the process for moving my car from Waipahu, Hawaii? Great question. Our first step is to schedule your move so your transport team can start looking the most ideal transport for your car.

They do have to take into consideration the size, weight, height and type of truck you are scheduling, which primarily are open and closed options.

We will need basic details about your automobile like the VIN number, year, make and model of each car you are shipping. This tells us the details we need to properly place your vehicle on a transporter.

We will provide you a free transport quote that is all-inclusive of all the costs required to ship your vehicle from pick up to delivery. Our quotes are guaranteed and do not fluctuate for any reason unless there are changes made to your car transport.

The second step in the process is pick up of the vehicle. In almost all cases, we do pick up at your doorstep in Waipahu, Hawaii and deliver to the designated destination we were given when you booked your move.

The only things that we deal with when picking up from a residential address are local limitations on driving a truck into the area. If there are no problems regarding driving a big rig then we pick up from the address you gave us when you scheduled your transport.

Once your transporter arrives, you will do a walk around of the automobile with the driver. You both will sign the Bill of Lading that specifies any existing chips, damage or dings. After you receive a copy of your Bill of Lading, they will load the vehicle, secure it and prepare it for transport from Waipahu, Hawaii. Once it’s loaded on the transporter the driver will start the journey to the next destination.

Because a driver delivers more than on vehicle at a time, he/she may have more pick ups and deliveries to make prior to your car arriving at its final destination.

As the time nears for your auto to arrive, your transporter will call you. It is difficult for a driver to know exactly when they will arrive before they get closer to the destination because of the many elements that can slow their progress. This includes traffic, weather and federal guidelines regarding rest and how long transporters can actually be on the road.

Normally, you should hear from your transporter typically within the last 24 hours before your car is scheduled to arrive. Although we have made it clear to our drivers we prefer as much advance notice for our customers as possible, we do know sometimes they don’t know when they will get there until just a few hours before they get to their destination.

When the car carrier arrives, you will repeat the same inspection that was completed when the vehicle was picked up. The driver will have a copy of the Bill of Lading for you to compare pre-existing damage identified during the pick up inspection. You’ll look over the car again to ensure everything is great and then sign the document. The driver will give you a copy for your records.

So moving your auto to or from Waipahu, Hawaii can be a fairly easy process. We always strive to ensure to make the entire process pleasant for every client.

I work for a high-end car dealer and we have been using United for some time now. Every time we shipping a car we get quotes from a few different companies, but we always seem to come back to these guys. They always have a good price and we know that they are going to do a fantastic job. Over the years we have had some minor issues, but the great thing about these guys is that they communicate well and solve the problems. I defiantly recommend these guys for shipping your vehicles.

I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!

Waipahu is a former sugarcane plantation town and now census-designated place (CDP) located in the ʻEwa District on the island of Oʻahu in the City & County of Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, United States. As of the 2010 Census, the CDP population was 38,216.[1] The U.S. postal code for Waipahu is 96797.

Waipahu is the name of an artesian spring.[2] In Hawaiian, Waipahu is derived from wai, meaning water, and pahū, meaning "burst or explode"; combined, Waipahu means "water forced up (as out of a spring)".[3] The early Native Hawaiians took pleasure in the cool and clear water gushing from the ground and named this spring Waipahu. Before the Western civilization set foot in Hawaii, the Hawaiians considered Waipahu to be the capital of Oahu. Royalty in the Kingdom of Hawaii would often gather and enjoy the fresh water from the spring Waipahu.[2]
