The brand-new Audi E-tron(r) is a fully electric luxury car that is going to transform how you approach daily driving. The new Audi e-tron(r) EV offers the ultimate combination of luxury and performance.
The Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron is a fully electric, four-door coupe-crossover, introduced alongside the standard Q4 e-tron. The Audi A3 e-tron is the long-wheelbase, all-electric variant of the Audi Q2 compact SUV, launched at Foshan in November 2019, sold exclusively in China.
The Audi A1 e-tron concept car, an electric version of the production model Audi A1, was first shown at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. The Audi PB18 e-tron concept, a mid-engined concept vehicle designed to be a radical racetrack-and-road-going machine.
Audi e-tron has available packaging upgrades that include orange brake calipers and a new 21-inch design wheel option. For instance, the Prestige level of the e-tron Sportback now comes equipped with 22-inch wheels, orange brake calipers at front and rear, and Audis signature Matrix-design headlights. As Dallas, Texas drivers likely expect from Audi, even base e-tron E-tron trim levels boast loaded technology, safety, and performance features.
A German luxury SUV, the e-tron offers no shortage of amenities and comfort features. Aside from all of its luxurious materials, the other reason why we like the Sportbacks interior is its seating and comfort. The E-tron Sportback has one of the more appealing interiors of any SUV in this class, and luxury extends throughout the entire interior, from interface positioning, spatial geometry, and every panel, all of which is finished with an amazing amount of care.
The Sportback has established itself as one of the most attractive vehicles in the luxurious EV SUV segment. If you are interested in getting into the EV space, and you would like a little bit of luxury added to the driving experience, then Audis E-tron Sportback might be the model for you. The e-tron is certainly a worthwhile purchase if you are looking to make an easy transition from gas-powered, midsize crossover SUVs to fully electric ones.
Plus, the Audi e-tron(r) comes equipped with an all-new all-wheel-drive electric Quattro(r) system, so you can drive confidently through all conditions. The Audi A3 e-tron is powered by the electrical motors under the bonnet, sending energy from a rear-mounted, middle-mounted battery pack to the front wheels.
Both models are equipped with a four-wheel-drive system that produces 355 horsepower and has a EPA-estimated driving range of 222 miles (218 miles for the Audi e-tron Sportback). The regular e-tron has a range rating of 222 miles from an EPA-estimated standpoint, while its coupe-like equivalent is rated at 218 miles. With a combined range of up to 222 miles, both the e-tron and the e-tron S get a combined 74 MPGe from the EPA. The 2022 Audi e-tron is expected to get 78 MPGe combined, while its coupe-like equivalent is estimated at 77 MPGe combined.
We were disappointed the 2022 Audi e-trons regen was not aggressive enough to allow for single-pedal operation in our testing of the sportback model. Its quick acceleration is typical for an EV, while its soft, silent ride quality reaffirms its bona fide luxury credentials. The E-trons conventional styling and dashboard layout would make any experienced Audi fan feel at home.
Of course, there are plenty of high-end options like the heads-up display and the heated front seats that will further complement the sophisticated interior of the 2022 Audi e-tron, which benefits from flat flooring thanks to a well-packaged battery underfloor. While Audi has skipped over typical electric car styling, something which attracts a technology crowd, both the e-trons boast sophisticated, serene interiors, while its coupe-like equivalent has sacrificed a bit of practicality for the sake of style. If you are familiar with the configurations of other Audi cars, you will be at home in an e-tron.
The Sportback is a great option for those looking to get a new taste of e-tron driving, but a more athletic, more refined experience. Behind the wheel, the e-tron offers a tauter, more composed driving experience, and the handling is satisfying. Joining the e-tron family for 2020, the Sportback is a sports-oriented take on the conventional, fully-electric e-tron SUV, sporting the same loose-limbed roofline that gives the e-trons lineup some extra pizzazz and athleticism.
The 2021 e-tron Sportback Luxury crossover runs exclusively on electric power, but it is also an authentically Audi car down to its core. At a first glance, you can easily mistake an e-tron for its gasoline-powered SUV siblings, the Q5 and Q8. The 2022 Audi e-tron has a sci-fi-sounding name, which hints at its all-electric nature, but otherwise looks and operates very similarly to traditional, midsize luxury SUVs.
The 2022 e-tron and its coupe-like sibling both come with shorter range estimates (218 and 222 miles, respectively), but both e-trons make up for this with remarkable quick charging times, provided you have a competent charging station nearby.
Only now do we see competitors such as the Jaguar I-Pace, Mercedes-Benz EQC, and Audis 2021 e-tron SUVs answering the all-electric call. The e-tron is the first fully-electric production Audi vehicle, and it is also one of the first all-electric SUVs, though it is behind Teslas Model X and the Jaguar I-Pace in the U.K. showroom. Audi discontinued the A3 PHEV Sportback e-tron in Europe in November 2018. The quartet-ringed competitor now shares the showroom floor with Audis similarly imposing e-tron GT, while choices for luxury EV rivals also have grown, including BMWs iX3, Mercedes EQC, and Teslas Model Y.
The new Audi e-tron delivers all-electric propulsion, a striking design and innovative tech, all in the service of high-end luxury. Those looking for even more power can choose the e-tron S, which brings sports-car-like performance, appointments, and wheels, but with a significant price premium with an initial starting price of $85,995.
