Our steps to booking the transport of your automobile is streamlined. It can be broken down into 3 steps.
1) PRELIMINARY STEPS TO CAR SHIPPING
What’s the process for moving my car from Fort Wayne, Indiana? Great question. The first step is to book your move so your transport team can start looking the best move for your car.
They do have to consider the size, weight, height and type of carrier you are scheduling, which primarily are open and closed options.
We will need general details about your shipment like the VIN number, year, make and model of each car you are transporting. This provides the details we need to properly move your vehicle on a transporter.
We will provide you a free transport quote that is all-inclusive of all the costs required to transport your car from origin to delivery. Our prices are guaranteed and do not change for any reason unless changes are made to your shipment.
2) CAR PICK UP
The 2nd step in the process is the pick up of your car. In almost all cases, we will pick up at your location in Fort Wayne, Indiana and deliver to the designated destination we were given when you booked your move.
The only issues that we deal with when picking up from a home are local limitations on driving a big rig into the area. If there are no problems regarding driving a truck then we pick up from the destination you gave us when you scheduled your transport.
Once your transporter arrives, you will do a inspection of the vehicle with the driver. You both will sign the Bill of Lading that designates any existing chips, damage or dents. After you receive a copy of your Bill of Lading, they will load the vehicle, secure it and prepare it for transport from Fort Wayne, Indiana. Once it’s loaded in the truck the driver will start the journey to the next destination.
Because a carrier delivers more than on car at a time, he/she may have other pick ups and deliveries to make prior to your car arriving at its final destination.
3) CAR DELIVERY
As the time nears for your auto to arrive, your transporter will contact you. It is difficult for a transporter to know precisely when they will arrive before they get closer to the destination because of the many influences that can slow their progress. This includes traffic, weather and federal guidelines regarding rest and how long transporters can actually be on the road.
Normally, you should hear from your transporter typically within the last 24 hours before your car is scheduled to arrive. Although we have made it clear to our drivers we prefer as much advance notice for our customers as possible, we do know sometimes they don’t know when they will get there until just a few hours before they get to their destination.
When the auto transporter arrives, you will repeat the same inspection that was done when the auto was picked up. The driver will have a copy of the Bill of Lading for you to compare existing damage identified during the pick up inspection. You’ll look over the car again to ensure everything is great and then sign the document. The driver will give you a copy for your records.
So shipping your auto to or from Fort Wayne, Indiana can be a reasonably effortless process. We always strive to ensure to make the entire experience pleasant for every client.

We found a great company
I work for a high-end car dealer and we have been using United for some time now. Every time we shipping a car we get quotes from a few different companies, but we always seem to come back to these guys. They always have a good price and we know that they are going to do a fantastic job. Over the years we have had some minor issues, but the great thing about these guys is that they communicate well and solve the problems. I defiantly recommend these guys for shipping your vehicles.
Don't make the same mistake that i did...
I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!
I booked, they picked up and delivered. Everything went smooth and i have noting but good things to say about this company.
