**No Upfront Deposit Needed—Your Protection Comes First!**

Be cautious of companies that ask for payment before delivering service! Protect yourself from scams and unexpected charges.

Some companies may request a deposit to secure your booking. However, if they fail to pick up your vehicle on time—or at all—you could face challenges getting your money back. Delays can lead to lengthy refund battles, leaving you frustrated and out of pocket.

We’ve heard from many customers left stranded by companies that took deposits but never showed up, causing them to lose funds they couldn’t recover. That’s why we don’t require an upfront deposit. You’ll only be charged on the day your vehicle is picked up.

**Choose a safer, more reliable option. Skip the upfront deposit hassle!**

    Who we are

This website, unitedcarshipping.com, is operated by United Car Shipping (“United,” “we,” “us”). We are a car shipping broker. We arrange transport of your vehicle with independent carriers. We do not own trucks.

United Car Shipping and Allied Auto Transport are brands of the same business. One team of advisors handles requests for both brands. You may hear from us by phone or email from an Allied Auto Transport number or address. That is our own team, not another broker.

    You can reach us here:

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who gets it, and what choices you have. It covers this website, our quote and booking forms, and our calls, texts and emails with you.

    The short version

    • You give us your details so we can quote and book your shipment. We use them for that.
    • Your info goes to one advisor on our team. We do not sell it. When you book, we give the carrier assigned to your shipment the names, phone numbers and addresses it needs for pickup and delivery.
    • We use advertising and analytics tools from Google and Microsoft. California law may treat some of Google’s advertising cookies as “sharing” for ads. You can opt out (see “Your Privacy Choices”).
    • We contact you by phone, text and email about your quote. Reply STOP to any text to end texts.
    • You can ask us to show, correct or delete your information.

    Information we collect

Information you give us. When you ask for a quote or book a shipment, we collect:

    • Your name, phone number and email address
    • Pickup and delivery locations (a ZIP code or city for a quote, a full address for a booking)
    • Vehicle details (year, make, model, whether it runs) and how many vehicles
    • Your requested ship date and transport type (open or enclosed)
    • Names, phone numbers and addresses of the people at pickup and delivery, if you give them to us
    • Anything you tell us when you call, text, email or message us

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we and our vendors collect:

    • IP address, browser type, device type and operating system
    • Your approximate location (city or region), worked out from your IP address
    • Pages you view, links you click, how far you scroll, and how long you stay
    • The page you arrived on, including any ad click identifier (for example a Google click ID, called a “gclid”) in the web address
    • Cookie and device identifiers (listed below)
    • When you submit a form: a scrambled (hashed) version of your email and phone number, sent to Google to measure whether our ads led to your request

Phone calls. Calls to (800) 931-4311 go through our business phone system, which logs the number, time and length of each call.

Where it comes from. Almost all of it comes from you. The rest comes from your browser or device, and from the advertising and analytics tools described below.

Sensitive information. We do not knowingly collect what California law calls “sensitive personal information,” such as Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account numbers, health data or your device’s precise location.

    How we use your information

    • To prepare your quote and to book, schedule and manage your shipment
    • To contact you by phone, text and email about your quote or order
    • To give your details to the carrier who moves your vehicle
    • To answer your questions and handle claims or complaints
    • To measure and improve our website and our advertising
    • To prevent fraud and abuse, keep our systems secure, and meet legal obligations

    Who receives your information

We do not sell your personal information. Your quote request is assigned to one advisor on our team.

We use other companies to help run our business. Most of them may use your information only to provide their service to us. Google’s advertising tools are the exception: Google may also use what it collects on our site for its own advertising, under Google’s privacy policy. That is the “sharing” described in “Selling and sharing” below.

    • Google (Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Google Fonts). Website analytics, ad measurement, remarketing, and the hashed email and phone described above.
    • Microsoft (Clarity). Records how visitors use our pages, including clicks, taps, scrolling and mouse movement, and builds heatmaps. We do not use Clarity on our booking page.
    • Salesforce. Stores our leads and customer records.
    • Our CRM host. We run our own customer records tool. Its data is stored with our database provider, Supabase.
    • Our email, phone and website providers. They deliver our email, connect and log calls and texts, and host the site.
    • Other site tools. The site also loads an accessibility widget from Elementor.
    • Contractors who help run our business. People and firms we hire to manage our website, advertising and customer records can see your information when they need it for that work. They work on our instructions.
    • Carriers. When you book, we give the carrier assigned to your shipment the names, phone numbers and addresses it needs for pickup and delivery.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to respond to a valid legal request, to protect someone’s safety or our rights, or if our business is sold or merged (the information would go with the business).

    Selling and sharing (California)

We do not sell your personal information.

California law also has a term called “sharing.” It means disclosing personal information for “cross-context behavioral advertising,” which is advertising based on your activity across different websites. We use advertising cookies from Google, including remarketing, so we can show our ads to people who visited our site and measure which ads led to a quote. California law may treat that as “sharing.” The information involved is cookie and device identifiers, your IP address, the pages you viewed, and, after you submit a form, the hashed email and phone described above.

You can opt out of this at any time. See “Your Privacy Choices.”

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

    Your Privacy Choices

You can opt out of the “sharing” of your information for advertising in these ways:

    • Footer link. Click Your Privacy Choices in the footer of this site. It opens a panel where you can opt out of sharing for advertising. When you opt out, we tell Google not to use your visit for ad personalization or ad measurement data (in Google Consent Mode, ad storage, ad user data and ad personalization are set to denied). We remember your choice in a first-party cookie on that browser for 12 months.
    • Global Privacy Control. If your browser or device sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as the same opt-out automatically.
    • Ask us. Call (800) 931-4311 or email support@unitedcarshipping.com.

If you visit from the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, advertising and analytics storage start out denied.

Your choice applies to the browser you used. If you clear your cookies or switch browsers, use the link again.

    Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files a website puts on your device. We also use similar tools such as local storage and tracking pixels. We use these:

    • Google Analytics 4 (cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID). Counts visits and shows which pages people use.
    • Google Ads (cookies named _gcl_au, _gcl_aw and _gcl_gs). Measures whether an ad click led to a quote, and supports remarketing.
    • Microsoft Clarity (cookies named _clck and _clsk). Session recordings and heatmaps, as described above. We do not use Clarity on our booking page.
    • Our own first-party tools. A cookie named ac_lp (kept 30 days) and similar local storage entries (kept until you clear your browser data) remember the first page you landed on and any ad click ID. When you submit a form, that page address and click ID are saved with your request, so we can tell which ad or page led to it. Another cookie remembers your privacy choice for 12 months.
    • Google Fonts and the Elementor accessibility widget. Load fonts and accessibility tools. Your IP address goes to those providers when they load.

Outside the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies are on by default when you visit. To opt out, use “Your Privacy Choices” above. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers an opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Blocking cookies may affect how some parts of the site work.

    Do Not Track

We do not respond to Do Not Track signals, but we honor Global Privacy Control, as described in “Your Privacy Choices.”

Other companies, such as Google and Microsoft, collect information about your visits to this site through the tools above. We do not control how they treat Do Not Track.

    Calls, texts and emails

When you ask for a quote or book and the form tells you so, you agree that United Car Shipping may contact you by phone, text and email about your quote or order, including with automated technology. Agreeing is not a condition of buying anything. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

    • To stop texts, reply STOP. We will stop texting you. For help, reply HELP or call (800) 931-4311.
    • To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link or tell us.
    • To stop calls, tell the person who calls, or call (800) 931-4311.

    How long we keep it

We keep quote and order records as long as we need them to serve you and to meet tax, accounting and legal obligations, then delete or de-identify them. Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity settings.

    Your California privacy rights

If you live in California, you have the right to:

    • Know what personal information we collected about you, where it came from, why we use it, and who gets it.
    • Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
    • Delete personal information we collected from you, with some exceptions (for example, records we must keep for legal reasons).
    • Correct information that is wrong.
    • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell it. See “Your Privacy Choices” for the sharing opt-out.
    • Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect it, so there is nothing to limit.
    • Not be treated worse for using these rights. We will not deny service, change prices or give you lower service because you made a request.

What we collected in the past 12 months. Identifiers (name, phone, email, IP address, cookie and device IDs, ad click IDs). Customer records (pickup and delivery addresses and contacts). Commercial information (vehicle, route, dates, quotes and orders). Internet activity (pages viewed, clicks, session recordings). Approximate location (from IP address). We disclosed identifiers, customer records and commercial information to service providers and to the carrier that moves your vehicle, to provide our service. We made identifiers and internet activity available to Google for advertising, which California may treat as “sharing.”

How to make a request. Call (800) 931-4311 (toll-free) or email support@unitedcarshipping.com. Tell us which right you want to use.

How we verify you. We will ask you to confirm details we already have, such as the name, phone number or email on your quote, and the route or vehicle. We use this only to check it is you. For some requests we may need more. Opt-out requests do not need an identity check.

Using an agent. You can have an authorized agent make a request for you. We will ask for written permission from you, and we may ask you to confirm with us directly.

Timing. We will respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why. We act on opt-out requests within 15 business days. If we deny a request, we will explain why.

    Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we limit who on our team can see customer records. No system is perfectly secure. If you think your information was put at risk, call us at (800) 931-4311.

    Children

This website is for adults arranging a vehicle shipment. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you think a child gave us information, contact us and we will delete it.

    Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top. If a change is significant, we will post a notice on this page.
