Most of the frequently asked questions regarding shipping your car are clarified in our car shipping blog. It is our goal to answer every question you may have about relocating your vehicle no matter where it’s destination may be.

But for specific answers regarding transporting a automobile to or from Irving, Texas, read on.

Our process to scheduling the delivery of your automobile is streamlined. It can be divided into 3 parts.

What’s the process for shipping my car from Irving, Texas? Great question. Our first step is to schedule your transport so your move team can start looking the best move for your automobile.

They do have to take into consideration the size, weight, height and type of truck you are requesting, which primarily are open and closed options.

We will need basic information about your shipment like the VIN number, year, make and model of each auto you are moving. This provides the information we need to properly assign your vehicle on a carrier.

We will provide you a free shipping quote that is all-inclusive of everything required to ship your vehicle from origin to your destination. Our quotes are guaranteed and will not change for any reason unless there are changes made to your shipment.

The 2nd step in the process is the pick up of your auto. In almost all cases, we do pick up at your doorstep in Irving, Texas and deliver to the designated destination provided when you booked your transport.

The only issues that we deal with when picking up from a specific location are local regulations on driving a truck into the area. If there are no problems regarding driving a big rig then we pick up from the address you provided when you scheduled your transport.

Once your transporter arrives, you will do a inspection of the car with the driver. You both will sign the Bill of Lading that identifies any existing chips, damage or dents. After you receive a copy of your Bill of Lading, they will load the vehicle, secure it and prepare it for transport from Irving, Texas. Once it’s loaded in the carrier the driver will start the journey to the next destination.

Because a transporter moves more than on vehicle at a time, he/she may have more pick ups and deliveries to make prior to your car reaching its final destination.

As the time nears for your auto to arrive, your carrier will contact you. It is difficult for a transporter to know precisely when they will arrive before they get closer to the drop off point because of the many elements that can slow their progress. This includes traffic, weather and federal guidelines regarding rest and how long drivers can actually be on the road.

Normally, you should hear from your carrier typically within the last 24 hours before your auto is scheduled to arrive. Although we have made it clear to our drivers we prefer as much advance notice for our customers as possible, we do know sometimes they don’t know when they will arrive until just a few hours before they get to their destination.

When the auto transporter arrives, you will repeat the same inspection that was completed when the auto was picked up. The driver will have a copy of the Bill of Lading for you to compare pre-existing dings and dents marked during your pick up inspection. You’ll look over the car again to ensure everything is great and then sign the document. The driver will give you a copy for your records.

So shipping your auto to or from Irving, Texas can be a fairly easy process. We always strive to make sure to make the entire process pleasant for every customer.

I work for a high-end car dealer and we have been using United for some time now. Every time we shipping a car we get quotes from a few different companies, but we always seem to come back to these guys. They always have a good price and we know that they are going to do a fantastic job. Over the years we have had some minor issues, but the great thing about these guys is that they communicate well and solve the problems. I defiantly recommend these guys for shipping your vehicles.

I don’t know why i have to learn things the hard way:( I went with the cheapest company and they didn’t show up to pick up my car. I tried calling them all day long and they wouldn’t answer the phone. I had already given them a deposit and so then i had to go through the hassle of doing a chargeback. They had four-stars, so i thought i was good. I started calling around and i found joe with United Car Shipping. He was really nice and explained why the other company couldn’t get a driver to pick up my car. Joe was awesome and he got a driver to come out the next day. Everything worked out and i was very happy with this company. I ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more, and it was worth it! These guys are really nice and the understand how to communicate. Thumbs up for United!
