    Lamborghini Huracán Evo

The Huracan EVO RWD is also the cheapest Raging Bull hypercar on the market, starting at $207,000. The Huracan EVO RWD is definitely not the best choice in bumper-to-bumper traffic, but it gives you a true Lamborghini experience, and it is something that you will get to drive on more often than in some of the other Lamborghinis. This Huracan may not be quite as fast as a standard Evo Coupe, but it is just as razor-sharp.

Enlarge Image This Huracan is over $50,000 less expensive than an AWD model. That is RWD, for rear-wheel-drive; this Huracan has two less driving wheels than a standard Evo Coupe. The Huracans AWD variant gets the full 631 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque going all four wheels, better to blast out of corners.

The engine makes 602 hp in most rear-drive models, but a new Limited Edition and Track-focused STO models come equipped with 631 horses. Regardless of whether you are looking at a rear-drive model or an AWD one, hardtop coupe or roofless spyder, each Huracan has the same fuel economy EPA rating.

The Huracan retains Audi/Lamborghinis 5.2-litre, naturally aspirated V10 engine from the Gallardo, tuned for maximum power of 449 kW (602 PS; 610 PS). As the Huracan EVO RWD is an all-wheel drive supercar, Raging Bull has tuned the V10s 602 hp motor a bit more to allow for more driving comfort.

In the Corsa (track) mode, the Lamborghini Huracan EVO RWD is far more responsive due to its increased rigidity… Sport mode has quicker power delivery. To really hoon into the Huracan with all the power you can hoon, you will want to go with Corsa (Track).

It is true that with an AWD Huracan, you can get out of corners faster and undoubtedly get faster lap times, but balance the car using throttle, which is something you can slightly easier with a RWD Lamborghini Huracan EVO, makes for a much more enjoyable ride. Lamborghini recognises that, and has tuned everything to make driving the Huracan EVO more enjoyable, not just for smashing lap records. Instead, the 2022 Lamborghini Huracan has an array of performance aids to assist the driver in maintaining control when driving in triple-digit speeds.

Both cars are AWD, but The 2020 Lamborghini Huracan Evo clips the Lamborghinis own Huracan Performante to 60 miles per hour, doing so in 2.5 seconds, one-tenth of a second faster. The two, as the Lambros like to say, do a combined G-load of 1.12 (on the same tires); the Perfs average G-load, which is in the neighborhood of our I-Hope-We-Patent-This MotorTrend Figure Eight, is 1.00, while the 2020 Lamborghini Huracan Evo only managed 0.96.

In OGaras opinion, Lamborghini expert Feng Li, the Huracan EVO is indeed the best Huracan made, delivering its most balanced speed characteristics, while not sacrificed on handling. It is probably the most fun-to-drive Lamborghini with all four wheels, thanks to the clever CPU which can adapt the power among the individual wheels, even decelerating one wheel to help slide it gracefully. In 2017, at The Grand Tour, Richard Hammond gave the Huracan Performante an “excellent” review, because now it is an actual Lamborghini, the car went on to lap a nifty one-minute, 16.8 seconds at a test track in Showa, making it the second fastest car of its day. A dropped mic for performance claims, the Lamborghinis very own Huracan Performante was not only faster around the Great Willow than Porsches 918 Spyder, but went on to take home our Best Drivers Car trophy for 2018.

Lamborghini made plenty of improvements to that Huracans cabin as Lambo introduced the Evo in 2019, and they have all carried over into the RWD. The Huracan Evo has a more aggressive design language, with the new front bumper having integrated aero blades to improve downforce, alongside the tail styling inspired from the Performante option, having the same rear diffuser, exhaust routing, and radiator. You can read all the changes here, but know that performance-wise, the biggest changes compared to the original huracan LP 610-4 are a stronger engine (30hp increase), the rear steering, torque vectoring, improved aero, Lamborghini Dynamic Vehicle Integration (LDVI) — basically, it means that all of the computers and accelerometers are faster and better communicating with one another — and, of course, new, more aggressive Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires.

This Huracan has a revised nose that generates a lot of downforce, allowing better high-speed stability, while the suspension is tuned to handle better if you choose to throw the rear end around. Within that Huracans lineup, at least, I would definitely be advocating the Evo with the rear-drive. Professional racer Bryan Sellers included a note, as, like I said, it does not seem to make a huge difference to drive between AWD and RWD Huracan Evos, at any rate, to my humble opinion. The steering in the RWD Lamborghini Huracan EVO, once again, although molto migliorata (very improved) compared with anything before it, is not quite as communicative as that on Ferraris new F8 Tributo, or pretty much every McLaren product, which I was fortunate to drive recently.

DON’T GET SCAMMED OUT OF YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY!

Many companies ask for a deposit to lock you in, making it difficult to get a refund if they don’t pick up your car on time—or at all. If your car isn't picked up, they may delay the process until it’s nearly impossible to get your money back.
We often hear from customers who are left stranded by other companies that never show up, leaving them stuck with charges that their credit card company won’t reverse. As a result, they lose their deposits. We don’t require a deposit and won’t charge your card until the day we pick up your car.
