For transportation of a POV after separating from the service, the limit of time to ship the POV is the same limit for travel and household goods transport, which is one year after retirement/separation if the severance is paid, or 180 days after separation. For transporting a car into the U.S. from another country, Alaska, or Hawaii (OConus POV transportation CONUS), you will need to have a valid street address in the U.S. to allow your car through Customs.
