Vinfast Electric Vehicles – Auto Shipping For Electric Vehicles

Last month, VinFast started building its VinES battery manufacturing plant at the Vung Ang economic zone of Ha Tinh province, Vietnam, affirming its plans for turning VinFast into the worlds leading brand of intelligent electric vehicles. Vietnamese startup VinFast recently announced that it will be building its own electric scooters in a new factory in Chatham County, N.C., along with its electric cars, the VF 8 and the VF 9. Earlier this year, the upstart carmaker announced plans for a $2 billion electric car (EV) manufacturing plant in North Carolina. VinFast, the Vietnamese carmaker building its newest electric car range, has chosen North Carolina to locate the North American car assembly and battery production facility, creating a projected 7,500 jobs.

Vietnamese carmaker VinFast said it plans to hire 8,000 new employees — more than twice the current staff — at its Vietnamese electric car factory, as it aims to bring its first electric cars to the U.S. later this year. Vietnamese car maker VinFast has said that it aims to sell 750,000 electric cars per year by 2026, starting with its first EV, aimed at the US and Europe.

VinFast is expected to start deliveries of the larger electric cars from Q4 2022. Artemis DNA, a biotech firm that deals with genetics, has reserved 100 EVs from the Vietnamese firm, with deliveries expected by late 2022, at which point VinFast would be transforming itself into a full-electric vehicle maker. Artemis DNA plans to begin taking deliveries of VinFast electric cars starting from Q4 of this year, and is working towards the goal of replacing its entire fleet of vehicles with zero-emission vehicles at some point.

Emmanuel Brett, Co-CEO Sales & Marketing at VinFast Global, revealed that VinFast plans to lease batteries for its new electric vehicles to U.S. EV startup VinFast will be leasing the batteries for its New EVs as VinFast launches sales of EVs later this year, leasing. With delivery of its first batch of EVs, VinFast has also formally announced a new battery leasing program for customers in Vietnam.

The battery leasing policy is considered to be the critical solution to customers for making their switch to EVs easier, which allows Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer, VinFast, to be a vehicle for all. According to VinFast, customers who have reserved and paid deposits this year on the VF 8 or VF 9 for a fixed-package model will remain locked into it throughout the life of the car, even when transferred to a new owner. By decoupling battery pricing from vehicle purchase values, Vietnamese electric car manufacturer VinFast takes on any risks related to a vehicles batteries, and guarantees reasonable pricing for its products, all the while giving customers peace of mind regarding battery quality over the course of their usage.

VinFast buyers would essentially be purchasing only one of its new electric cars, with the VF 8 starting from $40,700, the VF 9 from $55,500. While VinFast plans to open VinFasts first U.S. dealership in late May, both of its new SUVs will not become available until later in the year.

VinFast is betting heavily on the American market, where VinFast hopes to compete against both traditional carmakers and startups by offering an affordable electric SUV with battery-charging lease models. The VinGroup (VIC.HM) unit, the largest Vietnamese conglomerate, said it plans a total $4 billion investment for its first US manufacturing complex. Revealed is the boldest step yet from VinFast, the Vingroup unit, the biggest Vietnamese conglomerate, which was founded less than five years ago.

Vietnamese carmaker VinFast said on Tuesday it has signed an initial agreement to invest $2 billion initially in building a plant in North Carolina to produce electric buses, sport utility vehicles (SUVs) and batteries for electric vehicles. VinFast, a Vietnamese EV maker, announced plans for a North Carolina facility in 2022. The facility, located at the Triangle Innovation Center in Chatham County, is expected to become operational in the second half of 2024. VinFast, the first automaker in Vietnam, began work in 2017 on the groundbreaking for the production complex, which is located on 335 acres of land in Vietnams northern port city of Hai Phong.

Vietnamese automaker VinFast became Vietnams first completely domestic automaker when it launched gasoline-powered vehicles in 2019, now moving towards an all-electric range. At the Los Angeles auto show in November of last year, VinFast announced the change of direction, saying that it will soon stop making cars powered by the Ice, moving fully into battery-electricity starting in 2022. In January 2022, at the Las Vegas CES, Vietnamese carmaker VinFast unveiled three additional electric crossovers (VF5, VF6, VF7), a new reservations program including trips to Vietnam, and said that it was closing down operations for its gasoline vehicles.

VinFast unveiled three new electric vehicles at the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) (VF 5, VF 6, and VF 7 ), which, combined with earlier models, allows the company to service all five main car segments, ranging from small crossovers to larger SUVs. To continue the smart EV era which has formally opened in Vietnam, VinFast will also present the full lineup of electric cars, including 5 models from A-B-C-D-E segments, at the 2022 Consumer Electrics Show (CES) on Jan. 5-8, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.
